We wore top hats and put on the Ritz every single day. We ate okra sandwiches while rubbing our belly buttons in circular fashion, hopping on one toe.

Ah, I see! You are a truly amazing man! Laughing

Say, I don't know if you get down to the Wilderness forum much, but I've just posted a neat story HERE. An interesting story about a tortoise.

Thank you for that there link...I thought I had lost it, when, after a recent post the new posts drew only a blank. You wouldn't happen to know why that is now would you?

Sturg, there was some bother on the board yesterday afternoon for some time. Is that what you're referring to?

Lots of funny stuff was happening like avatars disappearing, etc. The hamsters must be restless again.

No, I just have an unending continuance of this particular matter. May be my A2K settings in some way which send me down to 'No new topics' mode regularly...it seems to be tied in with new members joining... Not a huge problem, I just don't want to be looking through the main Forum listing...I am far too lazy for that.

Sure you're talking about maintenance work?

Reyn - have you decided yet what you'll do when you leave your current job?

You could try using the 'Help' feature and asking about it.

No, I haven't put any thought into it at all. I have a legal matter to sort out before I get serious.

I probably will just look through our local "Help Wanted" ads and find something part time that way.

Looks can be very deceiving. I was treated for cancer when I was 44.

Wow You have defeated cancer, can you recount your story....My dad, 45, is one of india's top cancer specialists. Your case may be of interest to him.

Anyway, how do you feel now? Is there any chance of cancer recurrring?

I think I've already talked about it within this thread somewhere.

Needless to say, who knows if any cancer will come back? I don't really believe in "cures" in some cases. That's not to say it doesn't happen. It's just that the word is bandied about way too often. No disrespect to oncologists, but it just doesn't seem quite right.

I've heard of stories of someone's cancer coming back after 10, 15, 20 years, etc. I was told that once you've passed the magic 5 year mark, you were definitely "cured". It's been 10 years now, so I'm doubly "cured" now, right? Rolling Eyes

In my case, I was extremely fortunate that it was caught early. It was non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, which when symptoms present themselves, you're as good as dead. I had none.

Mine was discovered by accident while looking at another problem.
