My only thought is that he must have enjoyed it for a considerable period of time before it got "old". Laughing

And usually with lots of knee-slapping, side-splitting laughs (well maybe not quite that funny).

Evening, Edgar and Dys.

Not much happening. Same old, same old. With every route I finish now, I can honestly say, "I'll never have to be here again!" Some people's places just give me the creeps. The dogs and the customers are like wild animals. Shocked

So, for dinner Vivienne and I had a pasta meal with some nice buns. Very tasty. I finish off every supper with a few prunes and a little bit of yogurt.

That's me, now how about you guys? How did your respective Thanksgiving meals go? Well, I hope!

I baked a turkey, the wife baked some pies. I made up a batch of fresh yams. We took our food to my youngest daughter's home, where they had corn chowder, ham, and other good stuff. Three of my four kids and their own families were there. We visited and watched a bit of football. When that many kids get together (7) they don't spend time with their staid old grandpa; they go to the little park outside and play. That's as it should be. We came home and set up the Christmas tree.

It sounds like you had a full day!

I would never have the confidence the bake a turkey....or anything else! Laughing Vivienne does that so well.

What kind of pies did your wife bake? I do love pies.

Is corn chowder a soup?

My wife likes to put our tree up on her birthday which is on Dec 4th.

I'm so eager I can taste it every day!

My last actual day at work is now set at Dec 28th. Then, I start my pre-retirement leave made up of various banked days off, and the official day is on 1 May 2006. Very Happy

Corn chowder is a soup. There are other kinds, such as clam chowder. My wife baked cherry, apple and peach. She had the makings for punkin, but we were out of eggs. Since neither of us wanted to go to the store, she skipped them.

Peach pie sounds interesting. Can you still get fresh peaches? Or, I guess they'd have to be canned or preserved.

I once had pumpkin pie. I didn't think I'd like it, but it was not bad at all.

How many notches did you have to loosen on your belt? Laughing

Nope. Not familar with that at all. Is that like a yam kind of pie, or something?
