Well, I'm not very lyrical myself, but at least my time is winding down.

A infrequent, but long-time poster here by the name of BlaiseDailey used to read meters. Maybe he could come up with something.

Hmmm, never seen that person before. I tried to do a search on that name, as you've spelt it, but came up empty.

It's a big secret, Edgar. You either "have it", or you don't, I'm afraid.

Okay, okay, I'll tell you. (.jpg) should be the last thing in the line. Ignore anything that comes up after that. Right click on the pic and you'll see.

I'm sure you're looking forward to the day when you don't have to clean up other people's mess anymore.

Oh, Edgar, further to my instructions above, once you right click on the pic, you then click on Properties.

By the way, just so you know, some sites won't let you "link". If that's the case, you have to host the photo yourself.

That's my Mom, age 15, 1938, four years before I was born, on a Texas longhorn. I just got that pic less than a month ago.

Hey, isn't that great getting old photos like that? It's so exciting.

For example, below is one of a series of old photos of my father that I received from a 1st cousin from Holland some years back. Totally unexpected.

I believe he was about 20 at the time (about 1942).

Here is another. It's my father in Oregon a few months before he was killed in 1948. He went to Modesto, CA, and a man he was rooming with killed him and dumped him in a river.

So, I finally went out and bought a digital camera today. Had to rethink how much money I wanted to end up spending for all the bits and pieces and decided to buy down a bit. Still happy with my choice though.

This is it:

Canon S2 IS

This camera takes 4 AA batteries, so bought rechargeables, of course.

Upgraded to a 512 MB SanDisk Secure Digital disk.

Got a nice tripod, too.

What do you think of my choice?

good choice
