So Edgar, is your wife going back to work again, or still recovering?
She was canned by the company. Reason: They said it was because she didn't call or show up for three days, but I called the director once and she called her once. No, the real reason is, she worked with babies in a day care. There was no sink in the room. The inspector asked her if she washed her hands after changing a diaper. My wife held up the wipes and and whatever the nursery provided for the purpose and said, "This is what I've got." They insisted she told the man she didn't wash her hands at all. Anyway, she was happy to leave, as the stress of working for jerks was one of the primal causes of the hospital stay. In fact, as she walked out the door, she suddenly felt like her old self again. She has a job to go to. It will be a week or two before it's ready. I was happy to see her get away from those people.
I certainly hope it all works out for the best. Funny the twists and turns life takes, isn't it?
The main thing is that your wife's health is improving.
They told her she has a good heart, lungs, blood pressure - whatever - so, in one way it was good, since she learned that she's actually pretty healthy.
The tough part is finding a decent employer to work for these days that won't screw you into the ground!
She has a bad back. Jobs, good or bad are hard to come by. She has a job as a nanny all lined up.
Well, all she can do is give it a try. Hopefully, the folks hiring her will be fair and decent.
Let's keep our fingers crossed....
Should be all right. They are my youngest daughter and her husband.
Hahaha! They'd better be nice!
It's pretty neat, actually. She gets to be there when each one passes any milestones, such as speaking, walking, potty trained, etc.
Edgar, I do the the same job for my sister. I take care of my neice and nephew. It is a wonderful (if exhausting and unappreciated) experience.
My wife had a taste of it earlier and she loved it. I think under the circumstances it is a great deal.
How old are the kids? Old enough not to need to be carried, I hope.
One is a month or so old.
Does she have one of those support belts? (your wife, not the baby).
She had one on one of her jobs, might dtill, I don't know.

haha, I agree with K!
In the meantime, Edgar's job has it's nasty times, too!
Here's the story of my job, reyn. I apologize to those who have read it before.
Overworked Maintenance Man Blues
When I woke up this morning
I had just one hour on my bed
When I got up this morning
Feeling like I was almost dead
When I got dressed this morning
I looked down at my wife and I said
I got the Maintenance Man Blues this morning
Don't expect no kiss good-bye
Because I ain't never been quit working
To tell you good-bye would be a lie
I spent last night bailing water
Cause the water tank it broke
I spent last night moving furniture
Cause it all so water soak
I spent last night pulling carpet
While the resident screaming like to croak
I got the Maintenance Man Blues this morning
Don't expect no kiss good-bye
Because I ain't never been quit working
To tell you good-bye would be a lie
I got to paint six apartments
While changing air condition machine
I got to make ready those apartments
While making swimming pool clean
I got to even shampoo those apartments
Why the boss man so doggone mean
That's why I got the Maintenance Man Blues this morning
So don't expect no kiss good-bye
Because I ain't never been quit working
To tell you good-bye would be a big fat lie
haha, I like that one, Edgar! Is it sung with a bluesy twang?
Now, can you find one for meter reading blues?
Naw. I wrote that one for myself and a fellow maintenance man. Gots to be sang by Bobby Blue Bland to sound right.
