Well, access to the site has been spotty for me this afternoon. A bit frusterating. For you, too?
Yes, spotty. However, I have lots of chores and just walk away and do something while the page loads, and it usually does.
A good plan. I've been doing something similar or just go to another site, while I wait for the A2K page to load.
I usually play on-line poker when A2K is slow to load. Littlek started a game one night many months ago and I've been playing ever since. Fortunately it's play money, or unfortunately depending on whether or not I'm winning :wink:
I play simslots from time to time if I feel idle and want to waste a few minutes. I always set a limit on how many times to click so I don't lose track of time and waste half an evening.

I read your story about the little black and white kitten. Sad that he had to be put down. It reminded of of our we got our girl Rikki. Rikki is also black and white.
One day about 16 years ago, my wife was driving in the country and stopped at a fruit stand. There was a little black and white kitten there that had been abandoned and would not go near anybody. She went up to my wife and let her pick her up. The people told my wife that they were going to make a barn cat of her.
Later that day, my wife came home and opened the back of the station wagon. Inside was a banana box. You know, the kind with holes in it.
The Missus says to me, "I got something for you today." I replied, "Huh? You bought me a box of bananas?" It was just about this time that I noticed some movement inside the banana box. It was black. My first thought was, oh no, a spider.
Well, it turned out that it was this little black and white kitten. I should mention about now that I was not one to even contemplate a cat as a worthy companion. Well, she brought this little black and white thing into the house. The next morning we were at the vet to check her out, then to the pet store for litter box, toys, food, more toys and collar.
It is now 16 years later and little Rikki is still very small and looks more like a young cat than a 16 year old senior citizen. I am the only one that she responds to and we have a warm and loving relationship. When she wants it. :-)
I also have my black lab and we all get along famously.

Yeah, I used to play poker.
Nowadays, I don't, since someone close to the family (not related) has a gambling problem. In fact, I hate his guts.

No kidding? My wife did the same to me. I was so sad about the cat I had attempted to rescue that my wife had got another little cute black and white guy. A real little rascal, too.
So, we now have 2 black and white cats.
One of these days, when I get a digital camera, I intend to post their pics here.

Aw, aren't black and white kitties the best! Once I had (very briefly) 6 black and white kitties. The mom and dad came and went with a sublet apartment, but I took the 4 kittens with me. I gave away 2, and one died a few years ago. Now I have my one big boy left:

You bet, K! My wife and I are suckers for them.
We know them as "tuxedo cats".
We call them tuxedo cats too.
