It's been in the 90'sF here for the past 4 weeks, afternoon thunderstorms {which we love} and typical tropical weather!

It rained last night here in Cali, Colombia. The temperature was 76 when I got up. I went to the gym and it was empty. I asked the trainer where is everybody. He said they stayed home "por el frio"...!!!

The temp plunges below eighty and here and they all start donning jackets and sweaters. Just loony!

Still magic here - right in the middle of winter. Clear blue skies, chilly nights.

The drought is not always bad!

Boringly repetitive at 75 to 85 degrees in our area.

Pitter,
I take it back; I don't want your house-sitter dude's job.
How often does it get above 90F? Is usually sunny or overcast?

I can't stand the heat here (NC) anymore. June, July, August, and sometimes even September are just unbearable.

Bromeliad actually where the house sitter dude is (at 6000 ft) the temp ranges from about 58 to 75 and sunshine is at a bit of a premium. The house is in cloud forest after all and indeed the clouds roll down every afternoon. Cali is down in a broad valley and the range is 74 (rare) to about 88 (also rare) with 82 about average. Sounds pleasant enough but remember there is no air conditioning in private houses.

Okay, I take it back again. A misty 65F is what I like best.

After days of rain and cold weather - we have some sunshine today! Also very big clouds - some of them too grey for my liking! But I am wearing a skirt and no stockings and I am not freezing for a change!

And the weekend is supposed to be really nice and summery... :-)

Interesting article about the "jetstream", which is to blame for our poor weather (22°, but rainy-misty here)
here on BBC-online.
