The sun never did come out, so I took the dogs for a drive. They seemed to think that was pretty much all right. They're snoozing it off now. Apparently, it's exhausting being a hatch lid driver.

We're supposed to go into a "cooling trend" for the rest of this week. We've had 90-degree plus weather the past couple of days, so I'm ready for cooler weather.

Jose Cuervo! WOW, nice to hear from you. Yeah, California weather has been quite a bit on the hot side; beating some records going back to the early 20th century. Even San Francisco hit 87 - which was unheard of - it was 82 in 1957. San Jose hit 93, and the past record was 91 set in 1921. WHEW! Yeah, it's been real hot. Hey, JC, don't be a stranger.

The sun didn't come out today, but it didn't rain and I got about half of the yard mowed before I ran out of gas.

The place is Birdsville with all the birdfeeders you put up - there is a constant symphony of birdcalls. It sounds like MusicaAmerica in the old days before the maestro R. Lotzimer(SP) died.

Nice here again in North Texas. Sunny and mild but, like they say down here, "don't like the weather? Just wait awhile it'll change". Chance of thunderstorms later today.

Hello to all my long lost friends-

Sadly, I've been out pounding the pavement in the "Real World"- trying to find a job IS a full-time job Shocked ! But then I don't want a job. I want a POSITION! When I'm not doing contract work designing circuit boards, I've been substitute teaching at local schools. This week I'm in the computer lab and have a lot of spare time to waste... er, surf the web Embarrassed .

Yeah, Jose, we hear you. The job market for high tech workers is real bad; most of our friends children in software engineering are having a heck of a time trying to find jobs, and they're grabbing anything they can find. It's tough out there! I think the economy is improving, although slowly for job seekers. Hang in there, Jose. Glad you're back in "town." c.i.

Joanne, I take exception to the assertion that ANYTHING in Dallas is the same as Fort Worth... In fact, I think you all in big D are in a differnet climatalogical zone- a warmer one (probably due to all that concrete over there). Smile

After being here over a year I must agree Jose and add that I hate Dallas.

Do you think the concrete cause all the purple days too?

Purple days or purple haze? Blame it on all that smoke coming up from Mexico

Lots of luck finding a job! I like what you said about finding a position vs a job ... I would hire you on the spot:)

Hmm, Jose just heard that the DFW Metroplex is almsot at the top of the list of the 10 cities in the US with high levels of ozone. And what about all those cement factories in Collin County. The air polution in DFW cannot all be the fault of Mexico.
