c.i., No, it's been unusually cold this winter in Florida. The temps today are more normal for this time of year.

In California, we usually have low 30s type weather in January through March, but we've been getting 60s. I'm not sure what to make of this warming trend, because some of our plants are being fooled to think it's spring. c.i.

It worries me, c.i. Right now, it's 33f at 12:20 a.m. 10f either + or - would be normal. Precipitation in the mountains to the north is way off too, and what there is is running off instead of forming the snowpack we count on to get us through the summer.

Looks like another mid-sixties day without the wind. We had quakes around here yesterday, and I think it added a few more cracks on our walls. ;( c.i.

We've had some rain! Not much so far - indeed, I didn't even realise it was raining until a wet cat jumpred on me~ Eeewwww! But it looks a bit set in. Pray it lasts for a while - we're desperate for a drenching. At 5.15am, it's about 70F, but the rain may keep it cool!

How bad does the humidity get in your neck of the woods? In the fifties, when we landed in Charleston, SC, in July, the air was so thick, it was hard to breathe. A few of us returning from one year TDY in Morocco walked to the Y from the Greyhound bus depot to take a shower, but by the time we walked back to the bus station, we were drenching wet with our own sweat. ugh. c.i.

Don't get me started on the humidity here, c.i.

I have a hard enough time in the heat here ~ never mind the humidity.

Not only is it hard to breathe in August/September.....I have such bad hair days!
