Not only did we have a deluge last night, there was thunder and lightning. I was really woried about Donner and Blitzen flying through the electirfied sky. No reports of injury though. It is 64 this morning, which I think will be the high today. Now that a cold front came in, it will probably be down to 40 degrees tonight. I think that I am going to hibernate!

For those folks who celebrate, have a very Merry Christmas!

Morning, all, and a merry Merry.
It's close to 40 degrees F. here, which is warm for this time of year. But the forecast is for a foot of snow before it's all over. Snow supposed to start within the hour, and just sort of keep on going. It's a winter storm "warning", not "advisory." So it looks like we're in for in. I do have some driving planned for later in the day but, as it's all urban with no chance of any great speeds being attained, I'm not overly worried.

Here's wishin' you a merry Merry, Merry. Yep, I'd say you're gonna get hit with the storm which passed thru here in fourth gear the last cupla days. We're on the southern fringe, the worst of the blast taking I-70 from St. Louis thru Indy, enroute to y'all. Here in the tail section of Indiana, we have only about 3" of very crisp, frozen snow, but it certainly has all the appearance of a winter wonderland. Windchill's a comfortable 14ยบ(F), but I expect that'll settle down to a bracing naught or below on Boxing Day.

Hope Santa was kind to you, Andy -- a new snow shovel, perhaps?

Take it easy, but be careful, buddy.

Let it snow
Let it snow
Let it snow

Lovey and I were up before 5:00 am, to let the doggies out, and it had just begun to snow. Now, at 9:00 am, everything is buried in white. Given that i don't have to drive anywhere, this is just fine with me--tradition and all that.

No sooner said than done, Andy. Cheers! Drunk

That's the spirits, Setanta ... and I hope you and Lovey have laid in an ample supply. Wishing you both Happy Holidays, and I hope your new frock fits.

A few flakes so far but they've stopped. They'll probably start up again later today; we're supposed to be getting 4 - 9" today. Happy White Xmas!

Well, it's wet, heavy, sticky snow now. Got about two inches so far, that's all, but it's continuing and the wind is fierce. I didn't drive anywhere today. Couldn't. Spent the morning at two different police stations, reporting a stolen pickup truck. Someone nicked my Red Baroness during the night last night while she was parked right in front of the front foor of my apartment house.

Swell Christmas present. <sigh>

We're supposed to hit 56 today. It's overcast, so the possibility of rain is in the air. This after Christmas Day shopping bonanza for the consumers will probably make all shops uninhabitable, so I think I'll just make work at home. c.i.
