Oh, Nooo! Say It Aint So.....
Check out the weather map for today and Monday. There is a pink area from the mountains and valleys of central Virginia up into the D.C. area. We could get 3 - 6" of snow.
Crocuses and daffodils started blooming in the last few days and winter-weary people started smiling more.
But the optimism has faded as folks realized that we may not be done.
Phooey.

@realjohnboy,
well, finally we are getting some weather that is within shooting distance of "average'. We will be in the 50's for the next few days but wind and rain will abound.

Im about 2 weeks behind in gardening.

Thank you for doing your part in the war on global warming.

We've just had a Government announcement telling us that we are no longer required to take a snorkel with us when we leave the house.

Yippee!

@Lordyaswas,
If I haven't added you to the Natural English thread yet, I will, Lordy.

How come you let izzy and Contrex put you up as a display of an ignorant user of the English language?

@Walter Hinteler,
They're even forecasting 20 in the UK on Sunday.

This means I'll have to shear the cat on Saturday, as he still has his winter coat.

It was 10 C, overcast and/or raining here, but I'll take it!

Happy!

The poor buggers in the eastern provinces got hammered with a spring "weather bomb." They're still digging out some 40 cms in some places and it isn't over yet.

@Ragman,
I'll be headed to Cambodia and Vietnam on April 3rd to 16th, and the weather there will be hot-hot-hot! Over 100 degrees with high humidity - and the heaviest rain season. Should be a challenge, but I'm bringing plenty of t-shirts (to use and toss) and 2 swimming trunks.

Two countries that Henry Kissinger helped Nixon commit massive war crimes against. Get on your knees and beg forgiveness from each and every citizen you come across, CI.

On their Facebook page, US National Weather Service Albuquerque New Mexico wrote:

Back on August 1, 2014 a cluster of thunderstorms with torrential rainfall impacted a small area of the Albuquerque metro near UNM and Downtown. Significant flash flooding was reported. A few reports included numerous water rescues, stalled vehicles, damage to roads, flooded parking garages, and lots of landscape erosion. Well, just how significant was this event? @cicerone imposter,
The high number of Pacific hurricanes off of Mexico this year. We are getting the remnants of them trapped in the southern branch of the jet stream.

And even with all that rain, many parts of New Mexico are still under severe drought restrictions. It is going to take a few more years like this one to catch up to normal rainfall averages.

Come to think about it, I heard from my friend in Baja California that they were hit by the rain storm.

Anthony called me from Florida and said they’re having a thunder and lightening rainy day. The one thing I do miss about Florida.

It’s a cool day here in Ca, partly cloudy.
