If I wanted to take a bus to work, it would take me over an hour to get there, with at least 2 changes.
Not worth it since I can get there in a car in 15 or 20.
They had an article in the Austin American St. that they were going to be revamping the dillo route.
For those who don't know, that a fleet of little trollys that's free around downtown. You can travel within the downtown area, and the routes would take you just to the outskirts. There's I think 4 different routes covering the area....Now, they are going to cut it down to just 2 (I think) and reading what the new routes are isn't going to help anyone IMO.
I only took the dillo once when I had jury duty, but I thought it was a cool little system. People could jump on go like 5 blocks, and hop off. I noticed several older ladies doing this, which was surely a blessing for them.
So, they take something that seemed to me to be a good thing, then change the route and lower the number of trollys so it doesn't do nearly as much.
