msolga, would like to try this, but we're a little short on emu fillets here.

Grilled Emu Fillets

2 x Emu Fillets
2 Teaspoons Cardamon
1 Tablespoon ground Coriander
1 Teaspoon Green Peppercorns
3 Cloves Crushed Garlic
1/3 Cup Raspberry Vinegar
½ Teaspoon Mustard Seed Oil

Trim the Fillets of skin or silver sinew, grind the other ingredients (less the Mustard Seed Oil) together until paste, spread the paste over the fillets and allow to stand covered at room temperature for approximately 2 hours. Heat oven top pan with oven proof handles or no handles until very hot and cook the fillets for 1 ½ minutes each side only, remove from oven top and place pan in pre heated 220 degree oven for no more than 5 minutes, then allow to stand on warm plate for 5 minutes prior to serving.

I'm with Jes on the brussels sprouts. Yeccchhhh!!

All the evil and foulness and vitriol of cabbage, distilled into one putrid vege-thing!

Sustromming - the fermented fish of Sweden is probably the most relentlessly foul thing I've eaten. The smell lingers for days - I had nightmare flashbacks of the smell long after the taste was (almost) forgotten Confused

I'm putting my hand up for the raw oysters. A bucket of fresh oysters, my own oyster knife, and a glass of good bubbly, sitting in a boat on the water somewhere, is just my idea of heaven!

Vegemite is good too!

I like lot's of seafood. I even remember having some oysters that were cooked in a particular way that I could stomach. Can't remember how they were done though.

When I used to eat anything which moved before it got killed (10 yrs ago) I used to love sea food, specially prawns and crabs - but now I have lost all taste for non-veg dishes (except a good butter chicken, that too once in a while) and am purely veggie these days.

But even amongst them, I cant eat

Brussel Sprouts
Mange Beans
Broad Beans
Boiled eggs

But apart from that I think I will eat anything - as long as it is well cooked and SPICY !! YUM !!!

That's something I should add. I don't like too much spices or food thats very rich etc, mainly because my taste buds haven't been burnt out by a lifetime of spicy or rich food.

I love spicy food, but then I like a lot of different food. I'm also a brussels sprout lover, lol!

Lobster is my favorite though. Put some lobster in front of me with a small bowl of melted butter and I'm in heaven, yuuuummmm!!!
