Should we handle victory the way the Christian god decrees?

Cicerone,

Tell you what, let's you and I and the rest of us stay out of this and just let Frank and Snood handle it, ok?

I find it so strange that "some" cannot understand that "some" have been trying to have civil conversations in these forums and "some" constantly refuse to follow even the smallest rules of etiquette.

So, I suggest that we all stay out of what is obviously between Snood and Frank (as Snood has stated).

And little one, I really wouldn't point out errors in anyone's posts unless yours are 100% perfect, as no one's ever are.

Golly gee, lad. You really have got to calm down. I'll just bet you are hurting your little fingers pounding those keys.

Calm down, lad. Today was a beautiful day...and tomorrow is going to be even better.

Anyway...do you really think "everyone" sees things your way?

And you want to call me a "know it all?"

EVERYONE can see that except me!

I don't think so!

C'mon, now young man...why don't you calm down and just start acting like an adult. No need for all that rancor (and I needn't point out what you had to say about "idiots" and "arseholes" who use rancor in their posts, now, do I?)

Sure...let's you and I just discuss whatever it is you want to discuss like two rational adults...people with confidence in themselves...people with respect for an adversay in a discussion...and all that.

I love ya, Snood.

Yer, losin' it again, gramps - but whatever. I know it's hard for you to be cogent for long without your meds.

Gee, Momma, I hate censorship of any kind. I'll still post my .02c worth when I feel the need to respond to any of the posts.

I know Frankdoes sometimes go overboard with the adjectives, but I generally find his posts educational. Seems he did his homework on the bible unlike many who claim to be experts/believers.

I think it's okay to challenge posts that doesn't stand the test of simple reasoning and consistency.

After all, we're supposed to have fun and learn with our participation on a2k.

Oh yes, the minority for sure. But, it's a "fight well worth fighting!"

Embarrassed Thanx! And, as you can see, sometimes we even have to play moderator.

"Common Courtesy = Censorship?"

There's nothing logical about it.

"Tell you what, let's you and I and the rest of us stay out of this and just let Frank and Snood handle it, ok?"

NO.

See Cicerone, this is just the attitude I am speaking of. You think it's perfectly ok for Frank to say whatever he wants however he wants, whether it is courteous or rude. How long do you expect others to stand idly by while someone ANYONE is being treated with such disrespect and contempt? Would you put up with it if were being directed at you? I highly doubt it, since you seem to have a penchant for throwing in little quips to add fuel to the fire.

All that has been asked is that we are not belittled, cussed at, called idiots, morons, etc., just because of what we believe. Have any of us called you or any of the others names for your beliefs? I will no longer address myself to Frank because of the way he chose to "speak" to me.

Now, if you cannot understand that or respect that, then I submit to you, little one, this is the kind of thing that myself, as well as others (I believe) have been trying to get across. If people had some faith, if they believed in something greater than themselves, then perhaps they would not feel they have the license to demean, denegrate, or disrespect others. So, submit that Cha Mai Hoong's quote earlier has some validity to it. I believe in something greater than myself that teaches me not to treat people in the way some have been treated here.

Momma, In the early life of Abuzz, Frank and I have done over ten rounds. You don't have to tell me about Frank. Frank and I have sort of an understanding now, and that's the way I like it. I will not take sides - if that's what you mean.

Frank is Frank. Nothing you or I do will change Frank.

The fact that I have many friends around the world hopefully speaks to my good character; that's confirmation enough for me!

C'mon, Lad...you know I am making complete sense in everything I write. You're just in one of your petulant moods. Perhaps you ought go to your room until you are able to play well with others.

I love ya!

Gosh, oh gosh. Here is another post from someone giving advice on how to be respectful...in a post (one of many) filled with all sorts of venom.

How, oh, how can this be reconciled?

It seems to me that MA ought to follow her own advice...and stop all this name calling. I think it is out of order.

In any case...I will certainly continue to stand up for her right to continue her many attacks on me...because I am a champion of the right of free speech.

I love you, MA.

Grampa Apisa,
You're pathetic grampa. Hopelessly in love with your own BS to the point of being no longer teachable. So full of your own answers you've stopped asking questions, and just use your energy taking potshots at those who have faith in something other than themselves. There is human worth in the lowliest or most deranged individuals, if they still have enough presence of mind and humility to admit when they are wrong. But I've seen 3 people confront you about they way you address them (not me - I realize you can't do any better), and you can only see their part in why the conversation goes south. You're the source of most of the bad feelings I see around here. Most others seem to tolerate your BS and chalk it up to your "style" (I think its more likely senility). That ain't gonna happen with me, no matter how many times you use the "quote" function, or dazzle us with your toothless wit.

If the meta-discussion is finally over, I am still curious if MA has an answer to the question I asked here.

Mesquite Wrote:

Do you have anything Jesus said about persecuting homosexuals? You are always mentioning how you follow the words of Jesus. I just wonder why you disregard his words for this issue?

First, let me apologize for not seeing this. I kind of got out of the loop there for awhile.

Let me preface the pertinent reference with the very beginning of I Corinthians, as it is Paul speaking.

1:1 Paul, called to be an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and our brother Sosthenes,

To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be holy, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ - their Lord and ours.

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Now, those were Paul's beginning words to the Church at Corinth, and you can see he says "...from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ."

Now, concerning your question:

I Corinthians 6:9 - Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. But you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

But let me be very clear on something, Mesquite. While I do believe homosexuality is a sin, I do not treat homosexuals any differently than I would anyone else. I may not agree with what they do, but the judgement is up to God, not to me. I am to treat everyone as I would have them treat me, and I try very, very hard to adhere to this always.

I hope this answered your question.
