I literally posted a video clip from CNN that proved what I was saying. You are obligated to believe anything and everything that comes from CNN otherwise that proves that you're a domestic terrorist.

If you'd actually post facts and logic, you'd be less of the mess you portray here.

Uber, Lyft to cover legal fees of drivers sued under Texas abortion law.

Quote:
New legislation in Texas bans abortions after six weeks of pregnancy and threatens legal repercussions for those who may help with the procedure — including rideshare drivers. On Friday, Uber and Lyft each said they'll cover the legal fees of drivers who are sued for driving passengers to the outlawed healthcare procedures.

"This law is incompatible with people's basic rights to privacy, our community guidelines, the spirit of rideshare, and our values as a company," Lyft's co-founders and general counsel said in a statement.

The rideshare company has created a Driver Legal Defense Fund that will cover all legal fees for drivers sued under Texas' abortion law while using its platform. Lyft also said it will donate $1 million to Planned Parenthood "to help ensure that transportation is never a barrier to healthcare access."

The law, which is the most restrictive measure on abortion in the nation, went into effect this week and allows private citizens to sue anyone who "engages in conduct that aids or abets the performance or inducement of an abortion." Under the legislation, ride-sharing drivers who drive passengers to their abortion procedures could face fines exceeding $10,000.

Lyft called the law "an attack on women's right to choose."

"Imagine being a pregnant woman trying to get to a healthcare appointment and not knowing if your driver will cancel on you for fear of breaking a law," Lyft said.

Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi said his company will also follow suit and "cover legal fees in the same way" as Lyft.

"Drivers shouldn't be put at risk for getting people where they want to go," Khosrowshahi said on Twitter Friday.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi this week promised to take up legislation enshrining the right to abortion into federal law. She called the Supreme Court's refusal to block the Texas law a "cowardly, dark-of-night decision to uphold a flagrantly unconstitutional assault on women's rights and health is staggering."

Mexico's Supreme Court has ruled that it is unconstitutional to punish abortion as a crime, a landmark ruling that clears the way for the legalization of abortion across the country.

The court took up the issue on Monday when eight of 11 justices voted to revoke a law in the state of Coahuila that punished women with up to three years in prison for having an abortion, even in cases of rape. The other three justices joined in the decision on Tuesday, declaring such laws unconstitutional.

"Today is a historic day for the rights of all Mexican women," said Supreme Court Chief Justice Arturo Zaldivar on Tuesday.

"It is a watershed in the history of the rights of all women, especially the most vulnerable," he added.

The ruling sets a precedent that would force judges across Mexico to hand down similar rulings and expands early abortion for millions of women in Mexico's 32 states.

@coluber2001,
That's great news! Interesting how Mexico is progressing and the southern states are regressing. Rape, incest, jail - awful!

What's wrong with that? That could be a perfect way to put paid to promiscuity. We have lots of liberal celebrities behaving like Don Juan on the prowl.

We should give back Texas back to Mexico at once.

Taken from Mexico by force so American settlers could bring their slaves with them IE taken for the freedom to have slaves that the Mexico constitution did not allow.

Hey, Texas doesn't have to account for rape in it's anti-abortion law—Governor Abbott is going to eliminate rape! YeeeHawww!!!

Quote:
“Rape is a crime, and Texas will work tirelessly to make sure we eliminate all rapists from the streets of Texas by aggressively going out and arresting them and prosecuting them and getting them off the streets. So goal no. 1 in the state of Texas is to eliminate rape so that no woman, no person, will be a victim of rape,” he said Tuesday.

@edgarblythe,
Rape kits are after the fact; water under the bridge. Abbott's going to eliminate rape, preemptively. There will be no need for rape kits, by golly!

All these elaborate solutions presented to a very simple problem. What ever happened to just keeping your legs closed?

Back in the old days it was shameful to not be a virgin before marriage. Back then men wouldn't think about dating or marrying single mothers, let alone strippers or thots with only fans accounts.

And low and behold look at all the societal problems that we're facing today with the erosion of the nuclear family and basic morality.

Keeping the legs closed.

It works.

@CaptainNintendo,
More importantly and relevantly, how about men keeping it in their pants?

@Mame,
Men aren't the ones in control, doling it out. Women are sex dealers, men are sex addicts.

Just imagine the poor young men today and the options available to them, when the average female aged 25 has had at least 50 other men inside her already.

Why would any man want to marry that?

@CaptainNintendo,
Way to abrogate your responsibility. The only person you CAN control is yourself. Tell that to these rapists and pedophiles. Look at Bill Cosby who doped women's drinks. You telling me they were at a cocktail party with their legs wide open? Or Harvey Weinstein. Or Jeffrey Epstein. Randy Andy. Gimme a break.
