Wife is afraid to have sex again!

Back in early April my wife had to have a laparoscopic hysterotomy due to some heavy bleeding she was experiencing during her periods. And what that basically was the doctor made a few small incisions in her stomach to remove her uterus. Not like surgeries back in the day where they literally cut you from one side to the next. She was down for a few days but was back up and doing most things normally in a few weeks. We're now in July and she's afraid to have sex again. Even during the first month or so she mentioned to me that after she's healed we could go back to having sex but here we are almost 3 months later and she's afraid it may cause some damage. I told her to go see her doctor and get a full workup to see if she's healthy enough to have sex again but she refuses. From the research I've done, this type of surgery says that you should be able to resume sexual activity within 6 to 8 weeks. We're now going on 12 and she still won't try. I told her we've never had sex like porn stars constantly ramming it in or multiple positions one after another. And I'm nowhere nearly as massively blessed like most porn stars but she likes what I have. However, she still refuses to try. I'm at whits ends here. I told her we could go slow but she refuses to even try. How do I convince her that it's time to get back to normal activities or am I forcing her into something she's just not ready for?
