The Ashes Test 2005

Forget tennis
soccer world series NFL
world cups and the like
THIS IS THE GREATEST SPORTING SPECTACLE OF ALL TIME

"In Affectionate Remembrance of English Cricket which died at the Oval on 29th August 1882. Deeply lamented by a large circle of sorrowing friends and acquaintances. RIP. nb. - The body will be cremated and the ashes taken to Australia".

Now to business...

Australia won the toss
but its cloudy at Lords

......is there any aspect of human endeavour not encompassed by a game of cricket? Meteorology, mathematics, psychology, skill, agility, comradeship, soil mechanics, aerodynamics, civility, bravery

there's more to cricket than you might expect.

Wellllllllllllll.....some interest! Tongues will be wagging, knives will be sharpened, brows furrowed...if Warne's can't keep-it-in-his pants behaviour caused headlines wait until they get hold of this.

I always find in Australia that when addressing the issue of The Ashes (pause for a respectable moment) that this website

http://www.monksofadoration.org/justwar.html

helps. Very Happy

Do we? I hadn't noticed (not being facetious, I really didn't realise)

But thinking about it 4 for 66 or 66 for 4 is pretty bloody awful whichever way you look at it.

I wonder how the ASX is going?

ASX - Australian Stock Exchange. Of course it's not trading at the moment (it has a computer-trading system during our overnight). But I bet the sentiment is a bit down tomorrow (our time) if we lose any more wickets!
