Today it was 30C - frikken hot! That's 86F to you to the south. That's HOT up here!! And in June - unheard of. This is the month we get hailstorms and rain. I like temps at 17 -20 deg C = that's like 68 - 70 F... seriously...

I was in Tempe one year in Feb and it was about 70F... all the locals and snowbirds were in parkas and I was in the pool. As they walked by, they all nodded and said, "Ah, another Canuck."

We're that warm on average this time of year. It feels cooler than normal because we are having daily rains. In a week or three I expect the nineties to settle in.

@Mame,
We're 3 days into winter here and it's fairly cold, not as bad as last week though when we had heavy frost every morning and it was bitterly icily cold.

Today in the middle of Michigan it got to about 81.

But they are predicting that temperatures will progressively rise throughout the week until we get a stretch of 90 degree days.

@Mame,
Yesterday was the hottest day of the year, it got as high as 26 C which is hot.

Today a bit cooler 19 C.

I can’t be arsed to fanny about with Fahrenheit.

@Mame,
I am in the way south. Right now I am in Jalisco, Mexico. It is 17c and sunny (that's 63 for the slightly northerners).

@edgarblythe,
Like a mushroom cloud on the sun.

Sorry that’s one of the lyrics to the song Fahrenheit 451 by Hawkwind

@Mame,
Last week it was 35C around here as a heat wave rolled across the southern US. It's been more like 25-30C this week, but summer is coming fast.

@Region Philbis,
I am from Boston, moving to Mexico.

For some reason it makes me happy when it is warmer in Boston than it is here. Occasionally (always in the winter) the temperature in Mexico in Celsius equals the temperature in fahrenheit in Boston. That also makes me chuckle.

@Mame,
21 and sunny, but feels hotter. Rained all night and most of the morning. Expecting a pressure cooker on the weekend: low 30s but with high humidity. Commiseration welcome!

We've been in the 90s here, but a cold front has brought us down to the high 80s. Next week we'll be getting into the low 100s. At least it's dry here.

@Lon,
I lived in Fresno when I was a kid. Calwa. Mason Street, I think, near the cottonseed plant.

Thunderstorms (which I love) here the last two days, but nice and warm starting Tuesday... just in time for hail season (last year the cost of hail was over $1 Bn).

Planting a garden here is fraught with weather conditions, never mind the extremely short season.

And I've noticed the first two rows of my peas have been pecked to death by the finches and swallows that visit my water baths Sad Oh well... I can buy peas.

My air conditioner conked out. A mouse climbed into the electrical box that manages its circuitry or whatever and fried itself, incinerating a circuit board into a pile of melted gunk in the process.

I presume that when they come to repair it tomorrow they will need to order a new circuit board to be shipped in.

Sad
