My hatpin comes from my great-grandmother who passed it on with advice on repelling mashers and bounders and other Victorian scoundrels.

It is a family heirloom and talisman.

I'm sure fishin' is a perfect gentleman.

History lesson:

Back in the days before hair spray (and in the days of heating with open fires and lighting with fragrant oils) women wore hats.

Hats were anchored with hat pins--two to five inch straight pins with fancy heads.

If a Good Woman was jostled or manhandled in public rather than squealing she would whip out her trusty hatpin and impale her molester who when stabbed to the bone would probably howl.

Some deaths are reported from hatpin stabbings gone septic.

Oh my.

If it's a work night, hmm, maybe we can do something closer to la Cité. I can hop outta work early if necessary. Friday would be a difficulty for us. Is the Thursday a possibility?

I don't care where we meet as long as I know how to get there and don't get lost... No I don't live in Braintree Anymore.... I moved back home... just one town over from Braintree though...

I prefer to drive than take the T by myself though... I have a fear of the T... too many weirdos...

Yea... backs away slowly....

No the reason I don't like the T is because be a small little girl in Boston by herself in a place that she doesn't know, going to meet people she has never met... sounds like a good plot for a horror movie Laughing

Yes, I would be more than happy to accompany or otherwise drive crazylady to someplace. (And although its always a good plot for a horror move - umm if no one has told you yet, we're geeks - it dont happen to us) Wink

FYI - schooldays are bad since I dont get out till late and even later most times before even trying to get home - nevermind getting out somewheres else so .... thats that.

Keep the fish informed and we'll go from there.

Drive the crazielady eh quinn.... you really sure you wanna drive a crazielady?? Horror movies can go either way :-)... thank you but I have no problem driving.... I have a weird phobea driving with other people, even family or friends... I think I have a control issue or something.. just let me know when and where and I'll be good to go
