A gathering sounds possible. The machinery is waking up.

Noddy - should we meet North of the city? Or do you want to meet in Boston Proper.....?

Let me consult w/ son and d-i-l.

I do not know the Boston area, not even the most basic geography.

Sounds good, although as RP said, that weekend we are in NYC for family stuff and it's a nonnegotiable trip. But we can prolly be around before and after the weekend.

E-mailed both son and d-i-l and of course it was the female of the species who replied. I am a very lucky woman and my son is an even luckier man.

North of Boston is more convenient, but Boston isn't bad if I'm in shape to use The "T".

Of course there is Weather in December.

Our weather in december is usually better than our weather in february....... does that help ease your worry? Heh.

Crazie - If the meeting is North of Boston, will you be able to make it this time?

Wait...when we had that huge A2K party last weekend, didn't we decide Crazie wasn't invited to any of them?

Crazie, don't worry, you didn't miss much. Just nudity, free unlimited tequilla shots, belly dancing midgets...nothing unusual.

Getting there (where ever "there" is) shouldn't be to big of an issue. I'm only 2 towns over from Lowell. Just a short hop, skip and a jump away if transportation becomes an issue.

Noddy, would your son and d-i-l drive you or lend you a car to drive?

Roger--

Your offer is most appreciated and I may take you up on it.

Littlek--

I'm night blind and avoid driving on roads I know except in cases of Dire Emergency. My son doesn't drive. He inherited his mother's big, blue myopic eyes and his retinas detach.

I just had a second e-mail from d-i-l saying that since she still had a few classes that Tuesday, Thursday and Friday were good weekdays for her.

D-i-l is very gregarious. Son is a wee bit peculiar, but so are A2K members, so I'm not worried.

Dak--

I'll miss you--maddening, but there is always next year.

Ah, a weeknight!

What about Burlington? We went there when Diane and dys were here; can't recall the name of the restaurant but it was rather nice. I work in Burlington and George, I believe, also works pretty close by.

For Bostonians, it's about 30 minutes' drive when outside of rush hour. During rush hour, though, expect it to hit closer to an hour. T-based folks can go to Alewife, maybe get a cab from there? Plus there are these 2 possible buses:
1) From Alewife, takes you to Burlington Mall Road Park, bus #350/351: http://www.mbta.com/traveling_t/schedules_buses_findbus.asp?routenumber=350/351
2) Burlington Express, looks like it's Haymarket to North Burlington bus #352: http://www.mbta.com/traveling_t/schedules_buses_findbus.asp?routenumber=352

Burlington is, according to Yahoo maps, 20 minutes South of Lowell.

Depending on how North and What time... I live a town away from Quincy so I don't want to go too too far, specially if I have to work the next morning.... if it is a weekend that should be fine....

BUT I am really bad with directions sooo can we make it a place where I can't get lost too easily.... Laughing
