Jespah told me about the get-together, sounds like fun. My dentist's putting in a temporary bridge that day and I'm booked for up to six hours in the chair, so I'm not quite sure what my state of mind (or mouth) is going to be by 7:00 (the end of the six hours), but I'm gonna try. Will look for the red A2K hat--is there a reservation in someone's name?
Another way to get there from Weymouth, maybe simpler:
Up Rte. 3 to Rte. 128 (or I-95 North, I suppose it is now).
North on 128 to Rte. 2.
East on Rte. 2.
Stay on Rte. 2, don't head toward Rte. 16 at the Camb-Arlington line.
Rte. 2 bends around the Alewife T station and just beyond that is the Summer Shack.
Maybe a little longer, but fewer confusing roads.

As my daughter-in-law's exam schedule develops, I may very well bag a ride from the Snack Shack to Lowell with you.
Possibly for my son, also.

Remember you've known us for almost a year on-line. We're worth at least one itsy-bitsy evening off line.
Think of the horror stories you'll have to tell.
My pleasure, I assure you.

Excellent suggestion.
Since your route does not require going into Boston,
the difference in time may not be much at all.
Thanks guys!! I am horrible with directions, but shortygurl is coming with me, so I will let her choose which is best for us to use...
I haved lived next to Boston most of my life and I still get lost hahaha
You will get lost. It's not that easy to get to.
Just wanted to throw some holiday cheer in.

Reservations? Dang, that's almost organized. Hmm, if I remember, I'll put in a reservation for Lillian Virginia Mountweazel. But I might forget. Better to look for the red hat and/or a bunch of odd folks.
