What party or parties are responsible for establishing social norms?

@Rebelofnj,
You didn't answer my question. Are advocacy groups part of the government?

@JGoldman10,
It’s a stupid question.

The government is made up of elected representative and those appointed by the president, not advocacy groups.

I still find your ignorance incredible.

@JGoldman10,
The First Amendment does limit what the Federal Government can actually censor. They tried to censor films until the Supreme Court ruled that films were protected by the First Amendment in the 50s.

@JGoldman10,
There are lobby groups that advocate for certain laws and regulations to be passed or repealed.

Like how seatbelt laws are passed in the 1960s due to civilian advocacy.

@izzythepush,
To be specific, it was an overly concerned psychiatrist, with potentially falsified data, who objected to horror comics.

@Rebelofnj,
There you go. That's what I was driving at - lobby groups.

I didn't know the correct term for such groups. Thank you.

COPPA is another government group, who, like the FCC, wants to censor and control things. They're like an online version of the FCC.

@JGoldman10,
I tried explaining what COPPA is to you repeatedly, but apparently you forgot. And you can't read its Wikipedia page on the details.

Its primary function is not censorship. It is making sure websites have policies that protect the private information of children under age 13.

@JGoldman10,
Lobby groups aren’t part of government either. Sheesh.

@JGoldman10,
No it’s not, it’s an act of government, part of the law.

@Rebelofnj,
This is Goldman’s problem. He doesn’t have the attention span for actual facts which makes him susceptible to wild conspiracy theories.

@Rebelofnj,
I know that. COPPA wants to makes sure people are targeting their material to the right audiences.

Excuse me - I made a bad comparison.

I find it appalling and am truly baffled that he can figure out how to access the internet and somehow type in bizarre questions add nauseam.

How's the weather in your neck of the woods? Saw an item yesterday which said the temps in London hit 100°F. Hotter than Miami, Florida.

@Sturgis,
It was very hot yesterday. Today is better, although it’s quite humid.

The house is quite old, solid brick and a bit cooler.

The problem is we don’t have air conditioning because it’s not viable. It gets like this on and off for about four weeks in total then it’s not needed.

Which is fine most of the time apart from those few days when it’s not.

This is a question-and-answer site we are on. I come here to do research by word of mouth.

@JGoldman10,
Research isn’t asking everyone else what it means. Research involves tracking down relevant information yourself, reading it and taking notes if necessary.

As a rule of thumb if you can answer something yourself using google you should. Most of your questions could be answered with a quick google search, it’s laziness on your part.

Not quite.

It should be Rachael Ray
It should be Michael Richards
It should read Gibert Gottfried

Oh good. You're starting to catch the intentionally placed errors I leave for you to discover.

Of course, you still misspelled 3 names.
