Hi. I'm curious about this. I presume that if you were ask any random people to name any famous superheroes and/or supervillains most people will probably name at least one DC Comics character and/or at least one Marvel Comics character.

DC and Marvel are still referred to as "The Big Two" - the two biggest comic book publishers in the world. Both publishers are famous for producing superhero comics.

What superheroes and supervillains are popular that AREN'T DC or Marvel characters? In any medium - animation, comics, video games, shows, movies, etc.?

Please help. Thank you.

@JGoldman10,
Grendel....currently published by Dark Horse

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles...there have been a few publishers over the years.
Shredder is one of the villainous folks associated with the above mentioned Turtles.

You asked this question before. I'll just repost what someone else said:

Quote:
All Time: The Phantom, The Shadow, Zorro, Green Hornet, Conan, Red Sonja, Flash Gordon, Buck Rogers, Spawn, Savage Dragon, Hellboy, Witchblade, Darkness, Ninja Turtles, Usagi, Tank Girl, and Judge Dredd come to mind.

Right Now: Ninja Turtles, Spawn, X-O Manowar, Invincible, Vampirella, Power Rangers, Maika Halfwolf, Red Sonja, and Faith (along with the other Valiant Comics heroes).

@Rebelofnj,
I was searching to see if I had already posed the topic question in another thread on this site but I couldn't find any such thread.

Are you sure I already started a thread like this one on this site?

I might have asked the topic question on Yahoo! Answers but I don't remember.

@Rebelofnj,
That person didn't list any supervillains.

@JGoldman10,
I mean, the villains of the heroes mentioned would probably count. Like Shredder from the Ninja Turtles series.

And yes, you asked this question at least 2 times on Yahoo.

Plus, I searched the question on Google, and found another link that looks like you wrote on a different Q&A site.

@JGoldman10,
Then how come you didn't use Google, searching this question word by word?

The first result has a link to a question, asked by you, on another Q&A site where you received multiple satisfactory answers.

@JGoldman10,
What about 2000AD characters?

Judge Dredd has had two films and there’s a Strontium Dog piece of fan fiction on YouTube.

If you look a bit further afield you’ve got V for Vendetta, mediocre film from a great story by Alan Moore, first serialised in Warrior.

And Marvelman who despite being much older than Captain Marvel fell foul of litigation.

@JGoldman10,
Seriously, why not use the information from the Q&A site you previously asked this question before?

@Rebelofnj,
I don't remember which site that was. Maybe you can PM me about it. I've been on dozens of Q-and-A sites in the past.
