Morrowind: the elder scrolls.....help please!

so I inherited a large box of PC games, and maybe a computer full of characters...

the most intriguing so far is morrowind.

is anyone here familiar with it, and what did you think of it as a game...?

it looks very very involved, and I would like some unbiased opinions before I decide to dive in and waste my time there instead of on what I should be doing.

any serious replies welcome.

It's ok, but I'd play the 5th one: Skyrim. You won't miss a thing, story wise. Graphics wise, you'll cringe.

I loved Morrowind. It was by far the game in the series of Elder Scroll games that I know best. I found it to be addicting. I'd sit for hours and hours at it sometimes. It is very complicated and there was no way I'd have made it through the game without extensive walkthrough help.

I spent an hour last night figuring out how to walk.

and then got lost in a cave outside of town and could not see a door...

I think he has a controller set up to work on the other machine. I am terrible using the keyboard.

and I killed a rat...

I really don't have time for it now, but it is a pleasant diversion if I can master the physical motions of it.

You have a Masterpiece in hands...a serious candidate to the best game of all times...do some research, any Elder Scrolls game is a must have !

Come on, who'd wanna do lip-sync style with violin.

Throw out the ice cold temperature, the scenery, and play the damn song for real without edits, and I got 100% respect for her talent. I prefer she does not do stupid dance moves when she plays music.

Did you get any Star Wars games? It's so rare that a Star Wars game turns out good. Knights of the Old Republic was amazing. The sequel was okay. The Dark Forces/Jedi Knight shooters are pretty good. Galactic Battlegrounds was good for a while. Other than that, blah!.

Honestly - for me from all elder scrolls series the best is skyrim. I've played it twice and it never get bored to me.
