@bobsal u1553115,
Trump's approval rating is one of the worst; some suggest it's worse than Buchanan. SURPRISE! He may still win a second term. Why? Because "normal" people don't vote, and trumpers do. I'm still scared. https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/polls/ President: general election N.C.

@cicerone imposter,
We may have the WH in the bag - we don't have the Senate. We need to ignore any over confidence and turn out the vote.

Trump canceled an outdoor speech at his rally in Tulsa after lower-than-expected attendance
Grace Panetta

President Donald Trump canceled a planned speech to the overflow crowd outside the arena at his Saturday night rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma after only dozens of people appeared to show up.

Both Trump and Vice President Mike Pence were set to speak to a planned overflow crowd outside Tulsa's BOK Center. Members of the media at the event reported that the crowd inside the arena was sizeable but still far smaller than expected.

Trump's campaign boasted that over a million people had requested tickets to the rally. But photos and videos on the ground showed that many sections were empty.

"President Trump is rallying in Tulsa with thousands of energetic supporters, a stark contrast to the sleepy campaign being run by Joe Biden from his basement in Delaware," Trump campaign spokesman Tim Murtagh said in a statement.

He further claimed that "radical protestors, coupled with a relentless onslaught from the media, attempted to frighten off the President's supporters, adding, "we are proud of the thousands who stuck it out."

In a tweet, Trump's campaign manager Brad Parscale blamed the low turnout on "radical protestors, fueled by a week of apocalyptic media coverage, interfered with @realDonaldTrump supporters at the rally."

"They even blocked access to the metal detectors, preventing people from entering," he wrote, and linked to a Washington Times article about the rally.

But as the Washington Times' story itself noted, "areas outside the arena appeared to be sparsely populated about an hour before the president's arrival." And a pool report from Washington Examiner report Rob Crilly said that there was no sign of protesters or supporters on Trump's motorcade's route to the arena.

Trump's appearance at the BOK Center in Tulsa was the first of his 2020 re-election campaign rallies since the COVID-19 pandemic struck the United States.

Trump wants to declare victory over the novel coronavirus pandemic as cases, positive test rates, and hospitalizations from COVID-19 rise in several states, including Oklahoma.

@bobsal u1553115,
Failure is in their DNA. They believed they were royalty, until reality sets in. The whole world hates them. From Fast Company. "...one Australian reporter writes in the Guardian. “But watching a full presidential Trump press conference while visiting the US this week I realized how much the reporting of Trump necessarily edits and parses his words, to force it into sequential paragraphs or impose meaning where it is difficult to detect.”

This piece provides a helpful flavor of how the outside world views Trump. However, words fail to capture what it’s like to truly encounter his inanity for the first time—the rambling, the narcissism, the easily disprovable lies and remedial grasp of the English language. The face this Italian translator made at the White House yesterday, during a joint press conference with Italian president Sergio Mattarella, sums it all up clearly and comprehensively.

The whole pack of them thought they could outsmart the planet, from Donnie's pimp grandfather on down. Ironically he was a draft dodger, too

@cicerone imposter,
I like to liten to his press briefings and hi "speeches" during his three week ADD stint as "Doc-in-Chief" wherein his language skills can only be appreciated by litening to him. Hes amazingly non verbal. His hoice of adjectives is total Dr Rwin Corey. He has no skills in use of the English language and his continuous interrupting himself by interjecting total idiocy is hilarious.
I think he will announce that he will Not seek, nor will he accept his party;s nomination for the presidency. I dont think his ego can stand another loss .

We can send him to Elba when he is found guilty of all his crimes

@farmerman,
I wish you were right, but he hasn’t got the courage to admit he’s beaten. AND he fears what awaits him as a private citizen vulnerable to subpoena, lawsuit and indictments.

@snood,
that's why, if he chooses not to run, he hasnt really lost. He can come up with whatever excuse he feels will work.

If he chooses not to run, you owe me a lasagna dinner, if he runs, I will pay for a reasonably priced dinner for you.
We gotta bet?

Mr. Trump's presidency will last until 2025. His successor (in 2025) will be another Republican.

@farmerman,
I think he could well quit before Nov 3. And blame the loss on Pence.

The question is: how much can we shake Pence's whatever commitment to "Trump's mandate". I think pulling the chair out from underneath McConell, Cotton, Graham will be very important. We not only need to win but win "bigley".

@bobsal u1553115,
I'm thinking he might dump Pence, say around mid August. Polls will continue to drop and he'll get desperate. He'll look to stoke his base and the only way to do that is to bring in more over the top drama and insanity.

Maybe Jim Jordan or Matt Gaetz. Someone loud, obnoxious and stupid enough to take the job.

Are you planning to cheat in the election the same way you cheat in a2k thumb voting?

There is no chance of that happening. The same people who have always supported him are going to keep supporting him.

The only way Mr. Trump can lose is if progressives get away with their attempts to cheat in the voting.
