No. Back around 1994 when I first heard about a new really aggressive pro-gun-rights group, my first thought was "These sound like the guys for me."

But then I heard them interviewed on local TV about how if there was another Waco siege they'd come in from the outside and pick off federal agents with sniper rifles, and I thought, "Gosh, if I join these guys I'll end up either dead or in prison." So I never had anything to do with them.

Back when I lived more in a semi-wilderness area instead of the open farmland that I do now, I once passed through a small village that is said to be a militia stronghold. There was a pickup truck there that had no normal paint job, but instead military camouflage applied with spray paint, and badly done so that I saw as much bare metal as I did paint. The truck was so heavily rusted that it looked like the entire frame was about to disintegrate. Parts of the truck were skewed at wrong angles. The truck had no license plate. There were two bearded guys in solid green military outfits in the truck and they both looked exactly like Fidel Castro. I made eye contact with one, and the expression on my face must have given him offense because his eyes started bulging at me. I looked away and didn't look back.

I presume they were militia people, but I really have no idea.

After taking office, Ryaboshapka in October announced an audit of old cases he inherited, including those related to the energy company Burisma, where Hunter Biden was a board member between 2014-2019.

The audit was intended to probe whether cases Ryaboshapka had inherited from his predecessors had been handled properly, given the reputation of the prosecution service as being riddled with corruption and influence-peddling.

The audit was part of a broader reform of the prosecution service but became politically charged given some of the cases related to Burisma’s founder.

“Regarding the call to Zelenskiy and this story with Burisma. I can say that there was no pressure on me,” Ryaboshapka said. “The audit was completed.”

“I specifically asked prosecutors to check especially carefully those facts about Biden’s alleged involvement. They answered that there was nothing of the kind,” he added.

There goes the quid pro quo the impeachment was about. Democrats claimed Trump was trying to turn up dirt on the Biden's. Looks like the Ukraine did not come through. I do not see Trump taking the aid away, does anyone?

One thing is that no dirt was dug up against Hunter Biden, another thing is that Trump arranged a quid pro quo deal to dig up dirt to use against a political rival, Joe Biden, upholding federal foreign aid funds.
