On an early summer evening, two generations later, Donald Trump walked out of the White House, where he’d been hiding in a bunker. Military police had just fired teargas and flash grenades at peaceful protesters to clear his path, so that he could wave a bible in front of a boarded church.

That is a lie. Restoring law and order is not inciting violence.

Imagine what the response would be if the destructive activities were considered a foreign invasion.

Foreign interests manipulate citizens to destroy the US to stimulate economic activity that allows people the world over to make money in various ways.

You can't blame it on any government(s) in particular, but it is just an economic interest in trashing property to stimulate rebuilding and thus investment, which will lift markets and trade. It is corrupt and it is also racist because people and neighborhoods of color are the ones targeted for waste/destruction.

When that actually happens get back to us. What if butterflies came out your butt? It could happen.

There is a very fine line nowadays between foreign attack and domestic terrorism. You are fine with accusing Russia of interfering with elections, but you dismiss the possibility that foreign manipulation is what turns political demonstrations into property-destruction and other economic-stimulus disaster?

The closest is the Russians continuing interference in our elections and government. And we can and will fix that "invasion" on Nov 3.

Not butterflies, moths.

Call out the Army! Shoot to kill!

The question is what to do to secure property against destructive economic restructuring projects done in the name of political demonstration.

The problem is once the destruction starts, you can try to stop it but the damage that's done can't be undone.

So the challenge is how to regulate the economic repercussions of the destruction in a way that discourages it from occurring in the first place.

For example, you could require that any property destroyed be memorialized as ruins and not rebuilt. That would remove the incentive for stimulating destruction in the name of protest (and on its back).

In fact, you could fence off destroyed areas and make them into no-go zones where everything just grows back wild/fallow for a certain number of years before owners and residents are allowed to return and start using them again.

Now if we can only get all the white knuckleheads to keep away from burning and breaking. Let 'em burn their own homes and businesses. I hate commuter radicals.
