I'm curious, what was her "first experience" that she wouldn't want to do it alone?

That's her - she doesn't like to be alone.

We went through something when she was pretty young - toddler or a little older - where she would not go to sleep by herself - it was so bad she would get herself so worked she would throw up.

This was after her doctor said - she needs to learn how to sleep by herself - as much as you may hear - they grow out of it - they don't - there are known cases of young adults that cannot go to college because of this.

So we went to a counselor and all it took was one time - her talking to this counselor and we followed the recommendation of slowly gradually having her further away from us.

It wasn't easy but it worked -

To this day she is ok sleeping by herself but she likes others near her - having doggies to sleep with her helps.

So like this - she does not like to drive alone.

Her younger sister does - I don't mind it at all either - just her make up.

Is there a picture of her on her app?
At uber eats you take a pic of yourself, and describe your car in your profile. That way, when you come pulling up to the house or business, the person getting food recognizes you and comes walking over.
.....

The only thing I wouldn't do is work after dark. Not because of safety, but I like to see where I'm going, and finding a house or apartment at night would be the pits.

That's so cute, taking her sister along. How old is your younger one now?

Yes there is a picture but not the car description which is good in a sense because she could use either car.

Her sis is 17 now and the only good thing about this all stay in place is they are close again - like they used to be before the older went away to college.

I figure it is a win-win -- they both get a little money - it gets them out of the house --- the younger one is having a hard time with all this so it could be a help for her.

That is - as long as they end up not fighting about something

@Borat Sister,
Meaning one can walk into a store in a racoon onsies, or NASA spacesuit or as an Egyptian Pharaoh and all you'll get is "yes, may I help you?"

Upper management finally got their act well enough together to clarify
who is and who is not going to take pay cuts and fewer hours. Our group
is not. Same pay, same hours as before. So I guess there are degrees of
"essential".

Two-Mile Mike and I went for a jog at lunch. He's twenty-some years
younger than me. Used to be I had to slow my pace to stay with him. Then
it got to be that we'd truck along at about the same rate. Now I stay with
him for only a mile and then wave him on. Getting old sucks.

I went to the grocery store early today--I've not been there for a while, I usually do the bakery runs. The "downtown" of East York is full of morons who don't get it or don't care about distancing. In the neighborhoods, when I go for my long walk, it's OK. People are reasonable. Down on the Danforth, though, there must be some kind of moron magnet.

@chai2,
Retail staff is never fussed by costuming. Regular folks walking with their laundry in the dark in an abandoned neighbourhood - startled

@ehBeth,
Well, if you walked in with a costume with a head on and I was working behind a till, I’d be concerned you were about to rob the place.

@Borat Sister,
everyone is in at least masks. there are is a small group of local women who are going everywhere in blow-up dinosaur costumes these days. my raccoon onesie is so minimalist in comparison - though the tail is brilliant

That sounds a little too possessive. Can't they just trust the laundry to stay away from the detergent while they're out?

@Sturgis,
Sometimes my laundry just like to get out for a little bit. I don’t mind as long as they don’t run into the street.

I just bought a deep freezer from one of the many bankrupt restaurants (CHEAP! CHEAP!) and filled it with food.

You should consider such prudence.

@hawkeye10,
Did you buy a generator along with your freezer or are you saying that Society won’t collapse at all, just sag a bit?

Various items of my laundry avail themselves of the Wormhole Vortex in the
dryer.
