ferocious!! I could never believe that! They are the most sweetest-looking dogs in the world...

Then again I can understand that dogs would look scary to rabbits, except the cool and calm smoking wabbit dlowan.

I can't help noticing how this thread has become a general, from australia to the world chat thread now. Isn't that good?

Damnit, I knew my hoofs would give me away - okay so I don't type so well - what of it? You should try it with hoofs.

<peeping in>

Hello? Hello?

Dropped in for a coffee, but not a solitary person here. Must be the mid-winter blues, or something ....

I'm staying by the fire. When I got out of bed this morning it was 5c here and 22c in Darwin. Shocked

You know, goodfielder, we southerners should all head north for winter. Idea This is starting to feel like some sort of endurance test! And I'm feeling decidedly light-headed from having the heating on since coming home. 24 degrees in here. God knows what out there!
A friend of mine just returned from a Bali holiday ... one of those disgustingly lavish package deals. She looks good. The rest of us look awful. Laughing <cough cough>

Raining here - I love it!!!!

Of course, my place has huge northern windows to catch any sun. It is almost always warm in here when I get home... and I love to see the parklands all green and soft...

Raining? Hang on a minute....no not here, must be localised.

It's weird msolga I spent February in Toronto and it was snowing and pretty cold but here with the damp cold it feels worse. However I did acquire a really, really warm jacket while I was there so I shouldn't moan Very Happy

So you're a winter person, Deb? Not me!

I think it's the endless, grey, grind, goodfielder. On & on & on!
Tomorrow I've resolved to do something drastic .. like get out & walk for a few kilometers again. Being sick for over a week & cooped up inside as a result becomes truly boring after a bit.

Because it wasn't raining when I got home from work I took the dog for a walk in a fine break. I don't know who was more pleased to get home, her or me Very Happy

We have had FABULOUS sunsets the last couple of days - and I have seen them - cos I am driving home with the sun just setting now that the days are getting longer.

Today is winter personified - even the AIR is wet.

C'mon back and get some more use out of that jacket!
Well not right now, it's over 100F again.

I have heard about the heat and humidity ehBeth - the humidity apparently forces the temperature effect up in to the 40s! I think I'll wait for winter again Very Happy (although I was told off for playing in the snowbanks in the little park just off Parliament Street Embarrassed )

It's raining now and I'm watching the soursobs in my back garden growing in front of my eyes.

We'll find you some good heaps of snow to roll in if you come back in our winter, goodfielder.

<still marvelling at the idea of things growing in your winter - winter is a period of dormancy for most things in gardens here>

Sounds like a very pleasant drive home, Deb. Will you miss it when you switch jobs? I work in one of the "outer" areas - a drive from the inner-city to what feels like the country, each working day. But it's a very easy drive up the Calder freeway (Vroom! 25 minutes! Very Happy ) and when I'm about half way there the suburbs suddenly turn to countryside ... hills, morning mists, gum trees. Some mornings it feels quite up-lifting! Very Happy

Today is winter personified, too, here. I gave my planned walk the flick! I'm not silly! Laughing
