a few pints with peppermint liquor in them (what we call the bull's eye) and you won't mind the fanciness one bit!

naaah, you'll be fine, even if we had to crawl home. at least we don't have to drive for four hours like last time.

hey, maybe we can get slappy to show!

I'm torn. Friday is my singing night which I love. On the other hand I'd love to go to the meeting and I have every other Friday to sing. If only I had schizophrenia I could do both.

bob, there is singing in the bar. Every friday night somebody plays piano, people get books and sing along. i've done that once or twice, it's great.

not that we have to, mind you. we can sit far away enough if we want to.

I'm in. Remember if I start singing to disclaim all knowledge of me so you don't get hit by the thrown rotten fruit.

Checking in briefly to kick this back up to the top.

I'll be PM'ing a few of you with my contact data when I have time to spend here this weekend. And am greatly anticipating spending the following one in Beantown.

And eating a lobster roll at B&G's.

Mrs. Dittie wants to got to Jimmy's Harborside but I'm reading it's past its prime. Apparently the Legal Sea Foods are pretty good. We're going to the Cask 'N Flagon across from Fenway after Saturday's tour. And Doyle's Cafe, that bastion of liberal political discourse and New England fare in Jamaica Plain. And bump around the South End a good bit.

Any other suggestions for eating and drinking?

Just sayin "HI"...dont see the man in here so, not sure what his plans are for us for the weekend but, I dont believe we have any really.
The Friday night thing...depends on how much of a pusshead my boss is as to what time I could get out, get home, get back out, get on the T, find the place...sigh
....maybe is all I'm saying.

Glad to see we aren't the only ones not going away to do nothing but sit in traffic Wink
Would be nice to meet up with you all!

IMHO
Jimmy's is way past its prime..but it used to be simply fabulous.
Legals is highly overrated.
Cask N'Flagon should be fun.
If you're going to bump around the South End, bump around the North End as well.

Second the Union Oyster as a place you have to stop by..plus theres the whole Market right there....that works too.

Drinking & Eating is what Bostonians do all in the same place...mostly with Irish names...anyone works. Good Luck. Enjoy.

I've never had Bangkok as of yet at least but, I have heard they are fabulous.

So far I have had the best Thai food ever in Boston but at House Of Siam.

PDiddie - would it be easier for you if we all met you where you're already planning on being?

<Q - it's good to see you about!>

You couldn't have truely thought it would be so easy.... could you have? Ha! Not with this crowd - no!

Anyway, I dunno if Jacob Wirth's is to be discounted, but it does appear that the PDiddies want regional sites and cuisines.
