Yeah I thought with NLs potent offensive lineup they'd have a better chance of winning it this year. Whew thank goodness our pitching came through though. I hoped Doc would've pitched the game though.

I figured as much... I guess I just fell into the same trap that seems to get you all the time:

no emoticons = people take your statement literally

St louis is getting real close... the Sox have to get past the Yanks in NY right now too. Last night didn't fare so well and with Conteras on the mound tonight you never really know what you are going to get.

I'm trying not to get to excited. The promise I made to myself was not to get excited until after the first round... I'm trying to stick with it Laughing

Well if you're not getting too excited than it seems your emoticon says different. Anyways I hope the NY Yankees and BoSox goes down this year. Go whichever team is ranked next to them in their division.

Real good. Like I said you never quite know which Conteras you are going to get. We got the good one last night. I have a hard time following games he pitches though. He is such a slow deliberate pitcher it seems like his games last forever.

Sox got a good chance today as well. Garcia vs. Aaron Small. Don't know much about him but he has a 3 - 0 record this year with a 3.15 ERA. Not to shabby, but he has been around since 94 with various teams and not much to show for it. Lets hope that catches up with him today

The fan is a dolt.

Re Aaron Small: It's interesting, is it not, that NYY is getting better mileage from pitchers who were discards from other teams that they're getting from the Big Money guys?

Perhaps Steinbrenner will learn from this. Right...

Right.... indeed.

Listening to the radio call during the game last night, Ed Farmer (the sox broadcaster) made an interesting observation. Aaron Rowand was at bat and had fouled off a couple of third strikes already. He then proceded to foul one off towards the Yanks dug-out. Posada ran over to try to make a play but ran out of space when he hit the railing.

It wasn't a major collision or anything, but Farmer noticed that not one of the Yank superstars bothered to get off the bench and come to the railing just in case Posada happened to flip over or even warn Posada that the railing was close.

To many chefs in the kitchen if you ask me.

Another good pitching matchup today.

Yep. I guess the close play at home to score winning run led to some yapping by Torre. Now, if Boston wins tonight...

.481 BA, 4 home runs, 17 RBI's since Boston tried shopping him around.

Another great pitching duel for the White Sox. You can start getting excited.
