The declaration, supported by Speaker Nancy Pelosi, comes after Omar’s new remarks suggesting American supporters of Israel are pushing people to have “allegiance to a foreign country.” It’s at least the third time the Minnesota Democrat’s words have put her colleagues in a more delicate spot than usual on the U.S.-Israel relationship, and the second time in as many months that she’s drawn a stern backlash from party leaders.
Senior Democrats demanded a retraction and apology from Omar, with one House chairman saying she invoked a “vile, anti-Semitic slur” and another congressional veteran tweeting that Omar “continues to mischaracterize support for Israel.”
“I should not be expected to have allegiance/pledge support to a foreign country in order to serve my country in Congress or serve on committee,” Omar tweeted back.

“It’s unacceptable and deeply offensive to call into question the loyalty of fellow American citizens because of their political views, including support for the U.S.-Israel relationship,” Engel said in a statement that also suggested she apologize.

The charge of anti-Semitism is a risible farce given the fact that the anti-Boycott, Disinvestment and Sanction bill that Omar is referring to in her criticism of loyalty to a foreign country was introduced by Marco Rubio who is
Catholic, not Jewish. Most of the congresspeople supporting this bill aren't Jewish. The Zionists and their supporters are using charges of anti-Semitism to stifle fair criticism of them and their oppressive state.
Likewise, the statement that Israel has hypnotized the world speaks to the effectiveness of the Zionists' propaganda machine that disseminates the lie that they took over a land empty of inhabitants and were innocents who were attacked by the surrounding countries after the UN's Palestine resolution and the Zionists' declaration of statehood, and that squatters voluntary abandoned scores of villages during the 1948 War.
Also, it
is about the Benjamins when lobbying groups such as the NRA, the fossil fuel industry and AIPAC in an inherently corrupt governmental system allows these groups to buy politicians to do their bidding.
Never once in these statements of fact did Omar mention or reference Jews.
We need more people like Omar who have the balls to call a spade a spade in the face of disingenuous censorship.
