I went and told my son right after and we're both laughing. This guy is one of my sons best friends, so the poor guy must be in a panic

I can picture that conversation. Somehow in the future, I suspect he'll make sure it's my son he's talking to before he makes any mother jokes

He already knows how. He usually never forgets to sign out, but this was just one of those few times ;-)

Update

My sons friend finally found the courage to sign on to Yahoo IM last night. He felt really bad and told my son to tell me he was sorry. My son told him that I thought it was a riot and not to worry about it. I happened to be in the room at the time and told my son to tell his friend I wanted to talk to him for a sec. I came on and thanked his friend for the laugh and told him he made my day. I also told him I thought it was so funny that I told all my friends, lol! He told me he was very sorry and felt so bad and I assured him that he can stop worrying now because I wasn't offended. We chatted for a few more minutes and I gave the puter back to my son.
His first words to my son were "Hey dude, your mom is cool"! I smiled at my son and walked away :-D

This made me laugh all over again....
