I haven't seen any babies here dressed in black and white, ehBeth. It's all colors here, designer baby clothes (Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, etc.), lots of pattern mixing.

It's Ted! I know it!

Or else Nugenta.

Babies here are mostly primary colors, it seems -- lots of red for both genders.

I work with lots of o.t.'s and p.t.'s - they're all about lecturing people about babies limited colour sense, and how shape and contrast are yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda Rolling Eyes

Do you mean clothes or ya know STUFF?

I admit to the b&w thing when it came to STUFF. Made a mobile for her out of graphic b&w bug prints (found 'em online, printed on photo transfer paper, sewed). She loved that thing.

I mean clothes.

"there is no point in dressing her to please other people. when she looks down, i want her to see the graphic patterns" blah blah blah yadda yadda yadda - they can be a bit militant on the issue Evil or Very Mad

one of them relented when i had a tiny bit of a fit, and agreed to let me knit a baby afghan in dark forest green and palest yellow

i am QUITE ready for this group of friends to finish having babies. their showers aren't really fun.

My wife and I have been discussing names quite excessively.

Do you know there's actually research on how one's name affect's one's life?

Example: Two daughters, one with a traditional feminine name and one with an androgynous name. The androgynous named one is negatively affected.

No effect when both have feminine or both have androgynous names....

Name popularity plays into it as well.

All of which is apropos of nothing....
