If Jesus died to forgive us, then why is there a Hell?

Same old, same old.

Christians don't believe in the truth. He is a cartoon God, blah, blah, blah. Take some responsibility! So, you don't believe in anything and IN MY OPINION, that makes you a sad human being.

And GOD'S LAST NAME IS NOT DAM! And, again, calling my God an idiot God. You can't even show common courtesy? Like I said, resorting to name calling and criticism is no argument. It's an attack.

You don't have to believe in what I believe. I don't have to believe in what you believe. That does not give me or YOU the right to call my God names or use his name as a swear word.

If you don't get it, then you don't get it.

Without a "hell" for the unbelievers, there won't be a benefit for those "saved" - except fear.

Would you all please get this straight. I AM NOT TRYING TO CONVERT, SAVE YOUR SOUL, OR OTHERWISE CHANGE YOU!

I am just trying to have a discussion here. Sharing viewpoints without being rude. That's it.

My oh my! I go out for a day and look what happens!
So many words and my brain so small.
I'll tell you what, though. I rather enjoy the comments of people like Frank. (Really!) After all, the history of mankind is filled with abominations committed in the name of some god.

If I had wanted everyone to agree with me, I could have preached to the choir. Here I am forced to address the (oftentimes) legitimate questions of unbelievers.

the most interesting thing about this thread is not the argument but why we argue it. " Convinced myself I seek not to convince" - Edger Allen Poe

2 Peter 2:4

For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, putting them into gloomy dungeons to be held for judgment; if he did not spare the ancient world when he brought the flood on its ungodly people...

Luke 16:23

In hell, where he was in torment, he looked up- and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side.

Matthew 5:22

But I will tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgement. Again, anyone who says to his brother, Raca, is answerable to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, You foll! will be in danger of the fire of hell.

I think the Bible does support the concept of hell.
