If these Catholic priests practiced this act more maybe they wouldn't have had sex with young boys. How about this, maybe they should have sex with women. Now that's a new idea. Conservatives could learn a lot from this too.

That would kind of defeat the purpose of being a priest, I think, which is abstinence from earthly delights.

You know what, though?

Christian monks have it good. They can eat meat and drink wine.

Buddhist monks practice sexual abstinence, don't eat meat, don't drink alcohol and as far we can see, they don't have sex with little boys. There hasn't been a single documented case of the sort or not a single rumour, either.

Maybe Catholic Priests should stop drinking wine and eating meat too.

I remember the warnings that blindness would result from masturbation. I got away with myopia. But now we find that the individual old-timer who takes viagra in order to masturbate may actually go blind. How ironic.

I just can't resist the response someone gave to the question, Is sex dirty? i.e., Only when it's done right.
I recall my childhood thinking of masturbation as delightful in part because it was forbidden. Now that I know better, it's boring. Frankly, I thank my Catholic upbringing for having started me off in the right direction--lasciviousness and guilt.

I find it ironic that the worst priest at the parish where I attended Catholic HS preached against masturbation while the others ignored it.

BTW: I've worn glasses since I was 10.
