Faith healing is only practical when western medicine stops dragging it down with Vitalin.

I'd already done that search, timber, which was why I asked about the department. I've got a contact or two I could ask about Dr. Hill, but I can't find him as a specialist in the Peterborough/Lindsay area.

hmmmmmmm, one more idea

I did find a Paper by a Dr. Gary Hill, and Another, which referrences the Dr. Hill of the previous finding, though this Dr. Hill is a Scottish environmentalist, so its prolly not the Dr. Hill we're looking for.

A glance through the White and Yellow pages of the area phone directories turns up no Dr. Gary Hill - a few Dr. Hills (a Vet, a Dentist, and an MD - and a Minister), but no Garys. Mebbe we should start getting worried. Is there such a thing as an Amber Alert for missing doctors?

Found Dr. Gary Vernon Hill, but he's not a specialist and has no hospital privileges.

http://www.cpso.on.ca/Doctor_Search/summary.asp?Type=ADV&intCurrentPage=1&sNameRefNo=0038781

the pages usually look more like this, with specialties noted, as well as hospitals where docs have privileges

(random doc picked)

I'm getting "this page cannot be displayed" messages for your links, Miss Girl . . .

Should we contact the OPP or the RCMP about the mysterious disappearance of Dr. Hill?

This whole argument is getting me stressed and now....I don't feel so well.

I think worrying and fussing over this faith healing thing is giving me ulcers and a migraine.

Is there any way I can be healed?

I suggest an adult beverage and some best quality salted nuts, extra medium.

(setanta - you can run the search at CPSO - one of my favourite every day visits at work)

Its a wonder none of the faith healers have taken advantage of the $1 Million prize offered for evidence of any paranormal, supernatural, or occult power or event. I should think it irresponsible in the extreme for any qualifying faith healer to deprive his or her ministry of the resources such funding would allow.

But that's not important right now. We've got to figure out what they've done with Dr. Gary Hill. C'mon, folks - lets get cracking. If he's out there, we can do it.

The Dr. Hill I am refering to works as a direct employee
of the Peterborough Regional Health Center in the Emergency Department. He does not have an independent practice as he specializes in Emergency Medicine and works at the hospital only.

So, Gospelman, how much did you spend when you went to see Benny Hinn?

He has no medical specialty, gospelman. That's quite clear from the CPSO site (College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario). They are rigorous in their summaries.

What about the negative side effects of even attempting a debatable "Faith Healing" activity?:

...what if a devout Muslim or Hindu patient came in to a hospital and this Christian Healing deal upset them to the point of harming their health?

Or take the case of someone like myself: I don't really believe in faith healing but if others want to yak about it, fine by me. But if I come in to a hospital to get healed, and I hear the doctors at the hospital praying for me to be faith healed, I think this will have negative effects on my attitude toward the hospital and my situation, and it will negatively impact my overall health.

I think it can equally be argued that Faith Healing actually harms people's health!

Can you prove otherwise? Don't try to sell me any cars or be a used car salesman by not proving me wrong!

If we don't disprove my assertion that Faith Healing harms people's health, then it must be true that it harms people's health. (thank you to real life and other proponents of Faith Healing above for the lessons in this type of logic)

That's why I tried to link to another doc's summary as well - it's best if you look at a standard page that shows specialities as well as lists all hospitals a doc has privileges at.

Most docs in Peterborough (at least in my experience) have privileges at all local hospitals.

And if they did apply how long would it be before they were accused of being into it for the money.
New question: Since I have had no evidence to the contrary how do I know that timberlandko exists? How do I know that it isn't all the same person using different names to spark interest in this web site? For that matter how do I know I even exist because I can't prove that to timberlandko either?
