The tragedy of the situation is that in good part it was caused by the loose lips and lack of diplomacy of this administration. Are we going the way of the Roman empire?

Must've waked up on the wrong side of the futon this morning.

Am going back now to edit the name-calling.

And thank you to those who reminded me which forum I am posting in.

If I want to be snarky there is another forum all muddy and smelly I can go.

Mea culpa .... I just grow weary of trying to argue fact to be met with essentially a response that is not germane, an antagonistic response.

Thanks for your request for order, I will comply

It is very hard, ge, to constantly stay so on topic and be disciplined and civil about it at the same time. I made a heartfelt post on "UN, US, and Irag" which I would like to you read, and respond to, somewhere.

It never hurts to have a smile or a laugh. Life's too short to be sour all the time.

People lying in the street dead, screams coming from beneath burning rubbell, weeks of death and pain raining from the sky, minds of children storing vivid scenes of murdered loved ones, to relive over and over and over ....... for what????????

My sense of humor is not as robust as is yours.

I agree. This is a serious situation and people need to speak up. I am usually one who stays clear of political questions, but not when it comes to this war. This war is pointless and will only cause the middle east to be even more aggresive and at the very least will cause the deaths of thousands of innocent people while Bush is safe and sound.

NO WAR!!!!! NO WAR!!!! NO WAR!!!!

If this is a serious topic, please tell me why the President of the US is referred to as DUBYA and not by his proper name, President Bush?

It is called disrespect.
Presidents are elected, not appointed ... at least that's the way it is suppsed to be.
What do you find humorus about war?

The nation spoke in 2000 and Bush ignored us ....
The world is speaking and he again ignores the voices ....
He is not in Texas signng execution orders ..... from where he sits he has the power to send thousands to their death .... and he will
Sadly the ones that bear the misery will be the innocents ......

You just don't get it ....
What you said or what I said did not matter .... the election was decided in court .... they overuled both sides when they stopped the counting of the votes..... your vote like mine was not counted.
Democracy took a hit .....

Because this 'appointed' leader is trying to lead us into war... war is never the answer.
We are supposed to kill people because some day they may pose a threat ........... Mexico may someday pose a threat, or
Canada .... maybe we should kill them .....

...thing is, it wil never be a dead horse. Whenever precedent is set, positive or negative, it becomes the property of history, and people will talk about it. Bush's "appointment" to the presidency was a precedent. An all out war launched against a country who is not presenting an imminent threat is a precedent.
