This is all such balogna (heh, heh, balogna) The only reason anyone ever had a problem with them is because they seem to kind of flaunt their faith around, like a dress, or just something that you wear. They say that they don't, but when you make a show out of what you believe, then everyone may get the wrong idea.

Personally, due to this extensive battle between the god squad and every on else, i'm ashamed about going to cburg. You IDIOTS are trying to force people to view things the way you want them to, or don't want them to, when you should just let them view things the way that they want to.... Breathing.... ok, down to business, chelsea and friends, you guys are great and i know that you don't know me, i wont tell you, but you do seem to push to hard, don't take this as and insult, it's not. I don't know how to spell so forgive the misspellings, and any one who dosn't go to chs is invited, you know, because it's always nice to have an outside opinion, am i not right bryce, chelsea, hu. You are awesome! I back you 100% Don't be ashamed by what these people are saying about you! Get excited that people know that God is a major part of your life. One of the people who participated in this debate said something about how they have read the Bible and how it says to keep your religion to yourself. Well...I'm not sure what Bible they were reading, but my Bible says "I thank my God always when I remember you in my prayers, because I hear of your love and of the faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and all the saints, and I pray that the sharing of your faith may promote the knowledge of all the good that is ours in Christ" Philemon 1:4-6 and in Matthew 6 it says "Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."

A participant in discussions held on freely accessible public forums should be unsurprised to see those discussions attracting interest and interaction from the public at large. I am on no side. Do not confuse me with those opposite the "God Squad". And I judge not-- I observe, and I comment. I do not judge and I am not biased-- which I think I've made very evident throughout this entire ordeal, if you would have been listening and reading along.

Indeed ... there's aquestion thats been lookin' for a definitve answer for about 2½ millenia or so ... there's even been considerable bloodshed arisin' from the dispute. I would suspect most of those here referencing a bible consider the KJV itteration to be the paragon. A rather uncritical, and disingenuous, take, to my point of view. Commissioned in 1603, ratified and published in 1611, the KJV was a distinctly political instrument intended specifically to further James' Calvinist anti-Papalism.

I didn't really want to get into this discussion on here because I don't think talking about it online is going to help any but I just wanted to let everyone know one thing....

There's a lot in the Titus Epistle to chew over in particular regard to some of the goin's on in this discussion. The other Pastorals have direct relevance as well.

Interestin' aside - the Pauline Pastorals are generally regarded by serious biblical scholars to be not in fact the work of Paul, but rather to be later editorializations appended to the canon for various religio-political reasons.
