That'd be my guess too. Although he'd a probably thrown 'cheese eaters' in somewhere.

Now he gets his sense of aggrievement bolstered. That's a win for him. It's a far greater win for us, of course, but we can leave some crumbs of victory for him.

Some random doofus mentioned Bernie owning three houses.

None of them is especially "posh", and one of them is in Washington DC, where he has an honest job and works hard.

https://heavyeditorial.files.wordpress.com/2019/06/bernie-sanders-house.jpg?quality=65&strip=all Summer home. basically two cottages.

Main home. Looks like my folk's home in Texas

The yellow one is his Washington home. oooooooohhhh .... three bedroom 2-1/2 baths.

I wonder how many "homes" Donny Two Scoops owns??? I wonder if even one of them is worth as little as any of Bernie's or even as little as all three of Bernie's homes put together?

For the record: **** Socialism. But even in the "socialist" countries of Sweden, Norway and Denmark live some of the wealthiest people on the planet who pay an honest income tax and support the welfare of all their fellow citizens. Why can't Donald Trump?

At some point we'll get to see the Orange Shitgibbon's taxes because it's the law and its in the Constitution and eventually like every single appeals court before it, even a conservative SCOTUS will rule he will, too.

Care to wager if he paid more or less than the SHAMEFUL 14% that Mitt Romney paid in 2013??? When did YOU ever in your entire life pay that little?? I know I never have.

@bobsal u1553115,
He seems on the team to me today. I was encouraged to read some good news for a change. I find it very hopeful and think it will go a long way towards the savvier of Bernie Sander's supporters.

Quote:
Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders have reached a compromise on delegates for the Democratic National Convention, avoiding a potentially messy fight.
Sanders was set to potentially lose hundreds of delegates due to a little-known clause within the Democratic National Committee’s delegate allocation rules, as POLITICO reported earlier this week.

Candidates who exit the race before statewide delegates are selected are supposed to see the delegates they won reallocated to the remaining active candidates in the race. The rule applies to all dropped-out candidates — not just Sanders.

According to a memo circulated by the two candidates’ campaigns, that delegate reallocation will still happen and all delegates will be allocated to Biden. However, the campaigns jointly agreed that those slots that Sanders would otherwise be giving up will be filled by his supporters. The memo was first reported by the Associated Press.

The memo instructed party committees to give both Biden and Sanders, in consultation with state parties, the right to remove any candidate for delegate if the person is not considered a “bona fide” supporter of the campaign. The memo also noted that spots on the party’s standing committee will also be filled in the same way.

Our campaigns are grateful for the unity and spirit of collaboration within the Democratic Party as we look to defeat Donald Trump and establish a government by and for the American people,” the memo read. “We look forward to working with the state parties to implement this approach, as we elect delegates who reflect and represent the diversity that is the unique strength of our great nation.”

The memo also touched on another sore spot for Sanders’ supporters: The New York presidential primary. On Monday, the state board of elections effectively canceled the state’s presidential primary by striking every candidate off the ballot besides Biden because they were no longer actively campaigning for the White House.

Sanders’ campaign harshly condemned the move, and former presidential candidate Andrew Yang filed a lawsuit seeking to reverse the state board’s decision. Jeff Weaver, a senior adviser to Sanders, called for the state to be stripped of its delegates.

The memo circulated on Thursday alludes to that possibility: “If the state remains eligible for delegates, the campaigns are committed to working together to ensure representation for Sen. Sanders in the New York delegation.”

On NY decision, I think under the circumstances it was the right if the unpopular thing to do. Biden has already won and the state of NY and virus and the deaths, no way they could safely hold an election. I am just hoping things might not be so bad come November or else the mail-in vote idea gets fleshed out and agreed upon by all the states. (have my doubts)

@revelette3,
Absolutely agree. The only little beef I have with Bernie is his upset over his being taken off any primaries. I also see why he might be a good thing on the primaries, too. We need to get as many people to the polls as possible. I don't know if its true anywhere or not but in some states I've lived it used to be that if you didn't vote the primary, you couldn't vote the general. I feel that there might be a portion of voters who feel they aren't being listened to in the primary and 'elect' not to vote the general.

@bobsal u1553115,
It is all a little out of my league. It's clear we live in unprecedented times and those that do know things are trying to find ways to go about the election during a Pandemic that seems to not go away. Mix in partisan politics and it's a mess and I don't have a clue how it will end up in November. I am not even sure about my own vote, either primary or general.

@revelette3,
I did not make up my mind until I was in the booth. This is the first time in my life I voted in the Democratic Primary. But at the same time I've voted for Democrats in national elections since the eighties except I voted for GHWB both times. Voted for Clinton's re-election and never looked back.
