I doubt if anyone could say she did not lie either. She has been caught in quite a few.

Didn't you just excuse Trump the other day because "all politicians lie"? So what's your point?

@InfraBlue,
She was hired as a minority because Harvard didn’t want to have to comply with fair hiring practices. She helped Harvard cheat the system.

It’s disgusting for anyone aspiring to the presidency to have cheated a minority out of a job.

https://theintercept.com/2018/10/16/elizabeth-warren-dna-video-native-american-harvard/
Excerpt:
But it’s not especially relevant whether Warren is of Native American descent, or even whether she credibly believed the account of her family history. The only issue, from an ethical perspective, is that Warren held herself out as Native American, allowing Harvard Law School to use her as cover for its impotent diversity efforts.

According to a much-cited investigation by the Boston Globe, Warren consistently checked “white” on personnel forms throughout her career, including in 1981, 1985, and 1998 while employed at the University of Texas. But in the 1986-1987 edition of the Association of American Law School’s directory and eight subsequent editions, Warren listed herself as a minority. She began identifying as Native American on personnel forms three years into her post at the University of Pennsylvania. And while multiple professors have attested to the fact that Warren was considered white during the hiring process at Harvard University, in 1995 she self-identified as Native American, and the school’s statistics were updated to reflect as much. Harvard recorded Warren as Native American from 1995 to 2004.

She did. She has less Native American blood than most run of the mill Americans. She’s a prolific liar.

And again Trump tries to foment anger and disaffection in the Sanders' supporters world
Quote:
President Donald Trump on Friday accused Democrats of trying to sabotage Sen. Bernie Sanders’ presidential bid, echoing allegations from Sanders supporters during the 2016 primary.

“They are rigging the election again against Bernie Sanders, just like last time, only even more obviously,” Trump said in a pair of tweets, claiming that Democrats were using his impeachment trial beginning next week to keep Sanders off the campaign trail in the critical final weeks before the Iowa caucuses.

“They are bringing him out of so important Iowa in order that, as a Senator, he sit through the Impeachment Hoax Trial,” he continued, using derisive nicknames to accuse House Speaker Nancy Pelosi — without evidence — of orchestrating the timing of the trial to give former Vice President Joe Biden a boost. “Crazy Nancy thereby gives the strong edge to Sleepy Joe Biden, and Bernie is shut out again. Very unfair, but that’s the way the Democrats play the game. Anyway, it’s a lot of fun to watch!”
Politico

He's doing this because:
1) he's a truth-teller
2) he reads the Intercept
3) he really is offended by unfairness
4) he loves socialism
5) he loves Bernie

He's certainly not doing it because internecine division on the left will help him win another term. Certainly not that.

@Lash,
Thing is, I have native American DNA, never saw it as something to capitalize on. Never listed it on any application.

Warren using it as a representation of herself might not be a lie; however, no matter how it gets sliced, she clearly put it there to possibly benefit. If she had been denied a position anywhere, she could have babbled 'discrimination' and then filed a lawsuit.

Not in the 70s. They would have just told her to go back to her home and children.

Okay. That though, does not account for her insisting her records be so documented when she was at Harvard in the 1990s.

@Sturgis,
I’m 1/32 Cherokee. I actually thought at 18 to use it because I really wanted to get in the school of my choice, but I struggled a bit with it and thought better of it.

Liz did what suited her at the time—and she wasn’t a poor-ish girl trying to get in college—she was a grown ass woman, taking a plush job from a legally designated minority job seeker.

Says a lot to me.

At one time I really thought Warren was going to win and I was excited about even though I think the current plans for Medicare for all is a bit risky, I was still excited about and thought she stood a good chance because she kept going up in various states in the polls. But her numbers have been declining for some time, not sure why but they are, I really think soon, the progressive wing will be down to Bernie unless Warren picks up some women over the way Bernie responded after the debate the other night. He came off as really aggressive with his finger pointing at her and getting closer to her. That is not a good look for him. But that is a small chance. Need to check tomorrow or early next week to see post debate numbers. If she can pull off an Iowa or NH win, she has a chance, if she doesn't, may as well hang it up. For my two cents worth anyway. So all this wrangling over Warren has just gone it's length I think on these last few pages. Most people are over the whole Pocahontas/Warren thing regardless of it right or wrongness. Just state my final view, she should have apologized for having falsified her legal Indian status (I guess on how to phrase)on whatever form she falsified it in. People make mistakes.

No. Like most Americans and to a much lesser extent—Elizabeth Warren—I just trace a bloodline to my great-grandmother who looked like and was not far removed from Cherokee parentage.
