After that, the North controlled only the North until the Democrats betrayed South Vietnam.

Not incorrect. The Vietcong were eradicated in the Tet Offensive.

The only reason why South Vietnam was destroyed is because the Democrats betrayed them.

The Democrats also betrayed all the Americans who gave their lives to save South Vietnam.

MJ, he just makes it up as he goes along. I happen to know how much BS is being spouted, I was there, wow! Has no idea between NVA and VietCong and where their distribution in country were. And, so completely wrong about TET. Probably doesn't know what it is or when it occurs..

The war was "lost" for the same reason Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria were lost. Our troops were pulled out and the remaining puppet governments failed because they were propped up and couldn't stand on their own. We didn't "lose". They were abandoned in a Civil War where they lived and had a real and enduring reason to win.

This has nothing to do with the good guys verses the bad guys; but with the ones who have the strongest will to survive.
