Perhaps we should advise newcomers that you never say anything substantive. All you ever do is point to the words of people that you think are regarded as intellectuals and yell "Look everybody! Look! Look! I think what the smart people think! I must be smart too!"

If you haven’t been paying attention to the tech battle going on in Hong Kong against the citizens and visitors by China, you need to get on that. Now Playing in Hong Kong—coming to a government near you soon.

The HK protesters have taken over and shut down their airport.

@Lash,
Tiananmen Square come to mind. I know the Chinese government has thought of it too, because they are massing some troops to remind folks.

@edgarblythe,
Yes, yesterday, China released a video showing troop carriers moving to the Hong Kong border.
Today, it's the fifth consecutive day of protests at the airport, and airport authority have suspended flights for a second day.

@oralloy,
A miniature model of Taiwan's future indigenous submarine was unveiled this year on May 9.
According to various media, the first prototype will be launched in 2024.

(That submarine has an X-form rudder as opposed to a cross-form rudder.)

@glitterbag,
None of us is innocent on this count. Each of us has engaged troll behaviors, often many times over. And it's understandable. We've all seen the wonderful "Someone said something wrong on the internet" cartoon.

But that doesn't make feeding trolls un-stupid. Particularly after years of watching the same behaviors undiminished when we engage them. Trying the same thing that hasn't worked a thousand times earlier ain't smart.

@oralloy,
Every time you say "leftists this
or "leftists that". you're posting pure opinion, not facts, and it's pretty much always totally wrong. That's what the extreme loony right does.

@oralloy,
you may have cites, but they're clearly not reliable or factual since the large majority of what you post is pure b.s. As the computer adage has it, garbage in, garbage out. Do try to be a little less gullible.

We may not be able to do anything for Hong Kong, but this is a good time to start bolstering Taiwan's defenses.
