Just guessing here, so I might get it wrong too, but Ike?

She is a "progressive". She is also a Jew hating machine. I fervently hope she ruins any chance to advance one progressive policy.

There are too many posters on these forums who hover over certain threads, expecting to find something to disagree with, just so they can swarm like a hill of fire ants.

Well, there are only like 4 active political threads.

@Brand X,
Ask yourself why you’re doing PR for billionaires.

Let’s take a real look at it. Most of the mega billionaires zero out their taxes, hide money in tax havens, and employ savage attorneys who know how to avoid taxes... So you and I struggle to live, work, pay for ******* healthcare, childcare, student loans, etc and they get to keep their ******* BILLIONS and select what project they deem worthy.

We pay taxes as a member of the American community; we pool our resources and hopefully have members of Congress to spend that money in wtf we need.

Granted, members of Congress should all be in federal prison, but finally we are beginning to see decent human beings rise to the challenge and talk about improving infrastructure, making healthcare affordable, making college affordable... doing things to make life livable for the most of us instead of most of us basically being serfs for five billionaires.

You need to wake the **** up, my friend. You are being robbed and you’re defending your attackers.

Why??

@Lash,
My post was tongue in cheek, I get your stance. I by no means give all of them a pass.

I've explored the Panama Papers so I know there are some horrible billionaires, but they're not all bad.

I aspire to be a billionaire myself, so don't lash me!

I certainly hope CNN's new series on The Bush Years will mention how W invaded Iraq for no reason, killing thousands of innocent civilians, yet still had time to leave the US economy in smoldering ruins.

I have a soup recipe handed down to me by my mother-in-law.

Gather up one bucket of toe-nail clippings from old folks homes, fungus intact if possible and drop into a pressure cooker.
Add three liters of tap water and one liter from a mud puddle (make your own if need be, use a garden hose)
Close the lid. Set the temperature at 800 degrees and leave cooking for 3 years.
Open at the first full moon. Consider hazmat suits.

My mother in law called it "Primordial Soup" and swore by it as a cure for lumbago.

My purpose, as I have iterated previously, is to build a thread that displays liberalism in a truthful manner, for it is obvious to myself that it is the only viable way to run a modern free nation. I don't present stuff here to make friends. The few times I make errors are nothing compared with the corruption we are fighting. I am not part of Bernie's campaign and I don't have to muffle the truth as I see it. When the candidates are wrong and I know about it I have an obligation to say something.

Entire staffs at 3 Sonic locations quit after wages cut to '$4/hour plus tips'
by Adam ForgieFriday, March 1st 2019

CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio (KUTV) - "Due to terrible management the "whole store has quit" reads a letter posted on the window of a Sonic restaurant in Ohio.

The expletive-laden letter points the finger at new owners who "don't give a [expletive] about anyone but themselves" as the reason for the entire staff quitting, temporarily shutting down the store.

You can read the letter left by Circleville, Ohio employees below (WARNING: the letter contains some swear words):

The entire workforce at the Sonic in Circleville, Ohio just quit en masse to protest their new management and workers least two other Sonics in the area did the same. Check out the lovely note the Circleville workers left.

They cut workers pay from min wage to $4.00 USD + tips.
$4.00 USD. Plus tips. TIPS. AT A FAST FOOD JOINT.
12:38 AM - Feb 24, 2019

According to The Scioto Post, the workers were angry over their pay being cut from Ohio's minimum wage of $8.55/hour to $4.00/hour plus tips.

Many pointed out fast food workers rarely get tipped.

Two other stores in Ohio, one in Lancaster and one in Grove City who are also under the same new ownership, also quit en masse, according to The Scioto Post.

Those stores also hung signs saying "Goodbye" and "Thank you next" on their windows.

Christi Woodworth, Vice President of Public Relations at Sonic issued a statement to The Scioto Post:

Effective Monday, February 25, eight SONIC Drive-Ins in the Columbus, Ohio market will be under new ownership and management. SRI Operating Company, an affiliate of the Sonic the SONIC franchisor and operator of SONIC Drive-ins across the nation, is in the process of purchasing these drive-ins from a franchisee.

Under new management, guests and the community can look forward to improved service and the famous food, beverages and treats for which SONIC is known. Employees working for the local drive-in can look forward to fun, fast-paced work on which they can build a career, if they choose. Most current employees will have the opportunity to continue to work at the drive-in under the new ownership.

The Circleville SONIC Drive-In will re-open on Monday morning under new management. We recognize that changes like this can be difficult for employees to understand and most current employees will have the opportunity to continue working at the drive-in.

We look forward to being a part of the community for decades to come and appreciate the opportunity to serve our guests every day.

Thank you,
Christi Woodworth
Vice President of Public Relations

We’re in an info war. The right is actively trying to divide the left on social media. This post urging people to impersonate resistance accounts is only 1 example of the type of malicious tactics we’ll see leading up to 2020. Stay vigilant. Vet sources. Don’t let them divide us.

Accusing 'the enemy' of trying to 'divide you' is an ideological tactic designed to stimulate solidarity across differences among people oriented toward collective unity as strength.

If you give up factionalism and opt to simply operate as an independent individual instead, there's no issue with 'division.' In fact, you don't even recognize 'division' because you aren't actively trying to form a collective faction against other factions.

ALL you are doing is just putting forth a POV into the collective discourse of democracy-without-factionalism.

If you orient toward factionalism and solidarity against enemies, you end up sacrificing aspects of what you truly believe in order to be pragmatic and win. If you do this, you will end up supporting positions that you ultimately don't believe in. That might be fine if you don't care about trading in your position for some other position that undermines your POV, but if you are truly righteous, you don't want to give into pragmatism and 'lesser evils.'

Better to go on striving to cure ALL evils than to side with some 'lesser evils' against other 'greater evils.'

In that sense, it doesn't matter whether the right divides the left or the left divides the right, etc. All that matters is that you continue to pursue your best goals in whatever context. To quote Melania (maybe misappropriating her words, idk), "be best."
