I love how the little pictures are offset.... Do you mind if I steal the layout?

I absolutely ADORE the Bean photo layout!

Boomer mentioned Beans beautiful eye color... Are they wolf grey by any chance? Can't really tell from the one color photo.

Yay!

Then it's a print.

Soz, darling, you could always come to Oregon!

I don't even know if it's possible to invent a layout, DrewDad, I probably saw something like it somewhere so feel free to use it.

I don't know how to describe Bean's eye color. Photos don't do them justice. They aren't any one color but like flecks of every color.... like nothing I've seen before.

That's not a crappy picture -- I love her expression.

I must have been looking for this while you were posting -- it is a detail from the big black and white photo, in color - but it still doesn't show all of the colors:

Beautiful! Bean has more gold/ brown, but it's a similar idea to what I was describing with sozlet. Here's some pics -- all of 'em are a bit too far towards blue in how they were printed, but changeability is a big part of the point. (Sometimes more blue, sometimes more green, etc.)

Here's one of Monkey I've been working on today.

I'm looking for a cool but very simple fairy graphic to put in there but sorting through the jillions of "fairy" images after sorting through the very few decent fairy poems is just a bit overwhelming.

Anybody know a very cool, very simple, fairy graphic?

I print them at a photo lab, husker. I think they turn out so much better that way.

I just do the layout and upload it to my lab and presto! a great print for the same price as a regular 8x10 print (or whatever size I do the layout in).

I'm really happy to see that you're feeling better!

The big one is gorgeous.

I tried to find an Arthur Rackham line drawing of a fairy -- he does fantastic line drawings and lots of fairies -- but can't seem to find one.

What I've found:

Ahhh. You're image doesn't show up. Do you have a link?

I like that big photo too. I ADORE freckles and tooth gaps and when you can get the two together....

<sigh>

Throughout my years as a photographer I cannot even begin to count the number of times parents have told their kids not to smile because of tooth gaps or have asked me to cover or retouch freckles.

<sigh>

It always makes me heart-sick.

Ohhh, I love 'em. (Freckles, gap teeth.)

If you do "quote" for the post with the fairy pic, the link will be there between the [img] tags. (I closed the window already, so don't have it on hand.)

It's OK. I tried a Google image search with "fairy line drawing" and that's what came up.

I tried that link through soz's post, DrewDad - I got a message about theft so I'm assuming that the image is copyright protected -- as are several other images I've come across.

I'm still poking around for an image but it seems most fairies are ummmm..... a bit more voluptious than I really want to use.
