You guys are swell!

My neighbor had her baby yesterday.

I've been wanting to practice some baby photo ideas ever since eBeth started that infant photo thread.....

I've got a really nutty month coming up with work and travel on the agenda. The baby should be just about right size once life settles back down.

The painted belly IS real.

Or as real as a photo can be, I suppose. It was taken of a real painted belly.

But thank you.

SO...... I was stuck inside by the phone most of the day dealing with a crisis. That gave me time to play around with some really different stuff.

Knowing that it will be a long time before I'm even halfway adequate in illustration type stuff in Photoshop I came up with this idea for journal documents to go along with stuff I occasionaly write down.

I take Mo's picture every day but I don't have many of them printed because well.... a lot of them are mediocre. Still, I've always kind of wanted to do something with them.

Stuck by the phone, I came up with this. It was kind of a fun excersize in browsing areas of Photoshop that I would never ordinarily use so I thought I would open it up for criticism:

Oh man that is too cool. I absolutely love it.

Just took in a roll of black and white pics to be developed, hoping hoping hoping.

Plus, I finally looked at the CD I got with a previous roll, oh my GOD!! It makes such a difference to see them big, at that resolution. I'm going to go on an enlarging kick. I'll post a couple of my garden pics that I liked, nothing amazing but I just was happy with how they looked BIG. Just a sec...

Aw, might be too big for imageshack (having problems), phooey. They're more than 1MB each. (That's what's so COOL! :-))

Geesh, took some doing, think I have it.

Doesn't show up the size I want it -- it's either medium-big or ginormous -- but gives an idea. (And doesn't belong here, haven't done a thing to it, oh well.)

And the thumbnail of course is teeny... click on it to go to the medium-big one.

Thanks soz!

Oh fun to do digital stuff! I really like your photo. Its hard to get sky to show up that blue!

Very pretty. It makes me want to go outside.

I use photobucket.com -- you might try that site. It automatically scales your photos down to fit the site but leaves them bigish for posting.

I'm a computer moron so I don't know how it works. I submitted at 14M photo and it scaled it down to fit.

It's a magnolia, way back in early spring when it was first blooming. Then some elm branches beyond that.

Ah, good info about Photobucket, thanks! I even started to make an account but it was taking too long.

While on vacation I had a chance to meet shewolf (what fun!) and she let me take some pictures of Bean!

Shewolf has graciously allowed me to post an early version (I might make a few changes, add a quote (next to the big photo (any suggestions?), whatever) here for you all to see.

What do you think?

She is a sweetie and I have no doubt that shewolf is very proud of this well loved child.

Bean has the most amazing eyes. The color is indescribable, like nothing I've ever seen before.

Oh maaaan...

So when are you coming to Columbus? :-D

Fantastic pics. In the one on the far right, Bean looks more like her mommy than in any other pic I've seen of her.
