Poor cav, on hospital food.. sheesshh.. Im sure that is worse then BEING sick for him. Laughing

dough headed nurses.. oh LORD, dont I know about them. hehe.
Im sorry to hear he has one at his bedside. He should get a really loud bell... and ring it.. constantly.. Maybe that will remind her of what she has to do for him. ;-)

(Enters and wonders why everyones turning to look)

Yes, Bear and I called Cav this afternoon. It was great hearing his voice! (Yes, even his voice is sexy! - for those who are wondering.) I feel so relieved that he sounded stronger than I expected. Infections like that can really drag a person down, and I was happy to hear he wasn't gonna let that happen. He's puttin' up the good fight, as we all knew he would.

He has read our posts here, so keep the well wishes coming. Maybe we could give him some real gossip, something juicy to chew on, like the whole Gus/ Dag thing that's going on with the dueling pitchforks. Or, hey, I bet he hasn't heard about... Well, I'll let you all break it to him.

Hearing of his nurse situation though, I'm thinking a few of us need to drag out our white uniforms and triangle hats and head north. Surely I'm not the only one with that costume in my closet. Smile

Squinney, Yeah, right next to the French maid outfit.

Cav, keep up the good work. You can beat that damned bacteria. You have many more cells that it has.

Umm, I have a nurse outfit, but it comes only right under my butt. Is that ok? and the top is a bit too tight, too. But anything to improve cav's health.
I have to lock gus inside the closet first though. he had his wine cooler and is acting funny again.

I don't think Cav'll mind if your uniforms a little short, Dag, but Buttercup might! Just be sure to wear the stockings... The ones WITH the crotch in place! We don't need another incident like what happened when you and Gus stormed Little Rock. Do that in Canada and... Well, let's just say Global Warming won't be debatable.

Cav, I'm so sorry to hear you are sick! Mrs. Cav, you bring that man to Hawaii and I'll make him some noni juice laced w/awa: it'll cure him or grow some hair on his chest... which we can always shave off if you don't like the plushy look... Shocked Recuperation is a fine excuse for a trip to Hawaii, m'dears. Just give a shout if you're coming...

Cav - status report

Actually yes, husker, they did. Cav kept breaking all the temporary lines, so he now has this apparatus sticking out of his bicep...**kinky thoughts**

Thanks to ehBeth and BoGoWo for stopping by yesterday, and thanks to everyone who telephoned our Cav (sorry I'm terrible with virtual names). It really lifted his spirits.

Cav is progressing slowly. The good news is that the infection has limited itself to his blood, and not attached itself to any of his vital organs. The antibiotics are packing a punch, though, and he's still quite weak when he walks. However, we know that he is getting better because he is being extremely cantankerous about the food, as ehBeth can attest to. Yes the food is awful but they're monitoring how much he eats, so he HAS to eat what's on the plate... Rolling Eyes It's like trying to feed a 150 lb. 3 year old who only wants to eat candy (sugar-free candy, mind). But at least it's a sign that he's getting better.

That's my report for today, that I'm sneaking in while I'm at the office Shocked . Thanks for the wishes and thoughts, and please keep 'em coming -- Cav is looking forward to his daily printouts!

Lots of love,

Buttercup C. xo

Update/visitation report;

O.k. it's true; Mr Cav. is not quite so 'fancy' at the moment, but he is on the mend!
Last night i was privileged to attend the bedside of our most astounding clown, and wish to report that (though he's had his wits scared [almost] out of him), he is in good spirits, the juices are flowing (albeit from a bag on a tall post at bedside), and all is soon to be right with the world (at least his wee corner of it).
Our circus friend, wearing a lovely ochre shade of makeup for the ocassion, regaled me with the overt shortcomings of the grandly overated Canadian medical system, where no matter who you are from the most powerful, to the dregs of society, you wait, and wait, and wait, and wait, anyway!
He demonstrated the difficulties of arranging for a 'drip' (while i was silently thinking - but i came voluntarily!) which tuned out to be a remarkable cocktail of succulent liquids, to which only the most entrenched and obnoxious of biological 'nastys', could manage any form of resistance!
I am pleased to point out that he is currently (if awake) reading the shiney new copy of "Wired" that i brought him in order to keep him abreast of exactly what's 'in' at the moment, so that his grasp of real world trends will not slip to the philistine level of his current accommodation, and when we have him back amongst us he will quickly return to his lofty standards of piercing wit!
I shall be checking back periodically to ensure that he is not in danger of succuming to the ravages of ''hopital cuisine' (i understand the coffee is excellent - must be from Tim Horton's accross the street!) where the laws of fine culinary art, as espoused by our hero Cav, are not only ignored, but breaches often go unpunished by the 'gourmet police'!

To reiterate; he is physically in need of a fair climb back to perfect 'clowness', but mentally, there lurks that same scampish wit, waiting only for the chance to flash into the forefront and dazzle you with insight!

Best wishes to Mr Caviar, and kudos to Ms Fancy (Buttercup) for maintaining his strength and sanity through yet another biological pummeling.

Hang in there Cav...glad to hear you are getting better! Very Happy

Feeding a chef hospital food is like putting ketchup on prime rib.

(In case it can't be printed, I'm posting a picture of a spice rack)

Here's your virtual spice rack; hide it among your personal belongings and use it at every meal.
