Cav doesn't have to worry about anything down at the restaurant. I've been doing all the cooking since he left. Today I am trying a new dish which I have christened "Cuttingboard Delight"

For you novices at home who wish to try this, I will walk you through.

First, place a cutting board on the counter. Next, dump a large pile of flour on the board. (I prefer the white kind) Then, stand back about 15 feet and start throwing eggs at the pile. Also toss an occasional kitchen implement. ( I prefer a large silver spoon.) Then simply scrape the **** off the board, put in in the oven. (not on the rack -- it will fall through. Place a cookie sheet in first) Set the temperature at 352 degrees and cook for 2 hours, checking for over browning occasionally. When finished you have a delicious feast for four to six, depending on the size of the people. I sometimes will throw a few strawberries on top, just to spruce things up a bit. Oh... and a sprig of parsley will do wonders for the overall appearance.

So, remember, the first stage is most important....

The finished product will look like this....

Ok, maybe it doesn't look too good right there, but I haven't added the strawberries or parsley yet.

( And someone tell Cav I will fix the screen door first thing tomorrow.)

Cav will appreciate that , Gus. We worked with a very funny man in radio who told us that when he was a kid, someone dared him to eat a cow patty. He did and followed up with:

When I say something tastes like sh#t, I know what I'm talking about. LOL

I'm not sure I'm real happy with the way you're describing my food, Letty.

Are you implying something?

Implying? I thought it was rather obvious. If you have ever eaten hospital food, gus, you might make a comparison. Laughing

Hang in there Cav & Buttercup.... we're all pulling for ya. Some are pulling legs, some are pulling out hair, some are just pulling. Mostly we hope that Buttercup is pulling strings to get you back home.

Oh, rats! I was checking in here expecting to hear that Cav was home now. Rats, rats, rats.

Still, if there are problems, he's better off staying. Good for you, Buttercup...I know how frustrating it is trying to get real info out of hospitals, but you're on the right track. Just keep hounding them.

Buttercup, Cav is one of the very few who ever got backwards, backwards stuff:

If he can decipher this, you'll know his brain is functioning and that's the best part of all:

Steenless stale boxing meals. Razz

Piffka, I think we're trying to cheer ourselves up, because we hurt when someone is ill.

Hey, Eva. Cav and buttercup have a spaniel, not a hound.

Slipping into something serious:

Cav is going to be fine.

LOL, Letty! Yes, I'm wanting to ask them about their dog as soon as Cav's up to it. Won't make a decision for several months, though, so no hurry.

Cav is at home!!
Hi everyone,

Well after all of THAT nonsense, they released Cav today. He is on a little itty bitty portable pump that gives him antibiotics, plus a cocktail of other medicines that he has to take for the next three weeks. But he is home. And he is sleeping. And the little Cav is sleeping at his feet.

I wish I could write more but I am totally exhausted, and I need to sit down and not think for a while. Hope everyone understands.

Cav will be back online and able to respond as soon as he's comfortable sitting upright, which should be in a day or two.

Shewolfnm - can't respond to your PM, as I'm only a hatchling. Please e-mail me and I will respond to you.

Thanks again everyone! You guys are the best!!

Hugs,

BC

I was so excited to hear that Cav had been released from the hospital that I quickly began to compose this note and in my excitement I didn't realize how fast I was typing but my fingers were a veritable blur and the noise from the keys beings slammed sounded like the hooves of a thousand wildebeests pounding the floor of the Serengeti.

Gotta slow down.

Great news, Cav. Welcome back.
