Perhaps we should light a candle at Sacre Coeur
before lunchtime ...

or brunch...

I'm starving today!

No matter what the risk, I could never give up staying in old hotels. I love them. The older the better.

(That's what living in a relatively new country will do for you. Our state will celebrate its centennial in two years: we're not even 100 years old. So naturally, we're all hopelessly smitten with anything old or antique...we're starved for a sense of history.)

Speaking of starving......did someone mention lunch?

I'm all for comfort and modern amenities in hotels.

For me it would be brunch, but let's look what we can
find to eat....I'm vamished!

How about this Eva?

Healthy? <gag> Did someone say healthy? Quick, get me some chocolate! We can't let this thread degenerate into some "healthy lifestyle" diatribe. This is the Wine Cellar, for heaven's sake! And we're in Paris! Life is short! Enjoy it while you can!

Here, chocolates for everyone. (I've gotta snap you outta this mood, CJ. Here's an extra one for you.)

mmmhhhh Eva, don't mind if I do! When it comes to
chocolate I have no willpower at all.

Since it is Friday evening, how about a good glass of redwine......or a bottle?

Looks good to me, CJ, even if it is Saturday morning now. Will you pour me a glass? I've already had breakfast, so I think it's okay.

Did you eat all those chocolates already? All by yourself?! You naughty girl! I'll have to find more now.

How sweet! Francis is learning from Walter.

I actually bought last night some white Roses mixed with
some blue Fresias. That means I take the Rocher Wink

Oh Walter, I think that is my very favorite color in flowers. Sort of apricot-coral-pink. They are so beautiful. They sort of glow, don't you think?

They really do.

I've taken photos earlier of some(by then they came from the greenhouse), which now fit marvellous in our hall on the wall (as some will see in three weeks  )

Thanks Walter! Somewhere I read also that the hotel exceeded the allowed limit of people per room. Despite being an old building, no hotel or restaurant should be allowed to operate without proper precautions for its clientel. Several fire escape routes should be mandatory. One cannot jeopardize the safety of its customers.

You see Eva! That's why I never would stay in an old hotel
without proper fire exit or sprinklers. You never know what
people are up to.
