@ossobuco,
Yes and it’s usually red wines that do that to me. You know come to think of it, two glasses of white wine and I’m fine, didn’t even think of that.

@jcboy,
There is much written, I"m sure, about all that, worth looking up. I'm not clear that it is wreaked with every red wine.

@jcboy,
Jcboy, I am like you. Can't stomach beer, two beers and I am suffering the next day and suffering bad. Wine is okay most of the time, but max two glasses. But the moment you out bubbles in it, one glass and I am gone.

And speaking of vodka and cranberry, I was kissing someone yesterday who had been drinking that. I have to admit, it does taste good. YUM.

@the prince,
Who knew you changed your residence from London to Singapore?

BTW, I noticed this news item today. Hope you're not responsible.

When I am in Europe - especially Germany, I can drink beer and feel fine the next day. Here in the States, I cannot drink beer - a) it tastes awful and b) it does give me a headache too!

I also had to give up red wine - white wine does not give me a headache so far.

Those mixed drinks are tricky: they taste great but you're drunk in no time.

Well today I was not in the mood of anything alcoholic, I wanted sweets and had raspberries with ice cream and Nutella, all wrapped in crepes......it was worth the 5000 calories.

I have several friends who cannot drink red wine for the same reasons...headaches, terrible hangovers, etc. And another friend who turns into a complete bitch (really mean.) It just doesn't agree with some people.

Fortunately, there's always white!

CJ, that dessert sounds heavenly. Nutella with raspberries...mmmm!

@CalamityJane,
I'm exactly the same with red wine, I get a banging headache with it. Although I'm Ok with Dubonnet, and I can drink mulled wine (gluhwein) OK.

Odd, because my body won't tolerate alcohol any longer.

Here's one for The Prince.

@Letty,
I'm curious. When did you start to notice that alcohol didn't agree with you? Was it around a particular age, or because of some condition?

@Eva,
When I was caretaker for Bud for over a year, I didn't dare have a drink, Eva. Now, I find that even a martini does nothing for me. Our bodies tell us if we listen.
