My boyfriend drunk cheated on me with a colleague. Is he into her?

My boyfriend cheated once while he was (really) drunk with a colleague of his. He says it wouldn't have happened if he was not drunk, that she seduced him and that he doesn't have feelings for her. Do you think being drunk can be the cause? Would it be different if it was with some random girl he met? Do you think he liked her before?

@LiesManiac,
You should be more concerned that your BF drinks to the point that he doesnt know what he's doing. He could kill himself or someone else when driving, drown when swimming, get robbed, and, yes, bed down a girl and blame it on her.

@LiesManiac,
At least he just screwed somebody he knew while **** faced, he could have gotten behind the wheel and done some real damage.

Maybe suggest counseling for his alcoholism.

@LiesManiac,
Honestly I would be cautious...I've been ****-faced drunk and had someone try to "make a move" and I was still able to shut them down. The fact that he went through with it and seems not very remorseful might be a sign it's time to move on. He may have thought she was cute before and acted on it tbh but you deserve someone who isn't going to stick his dick into anything and everything because he's "drunk". You deserve better than that! Hope things work out for the best.

@PUNKEY,
The OP never said anything about him driving while drunk, why make assumptions. Plenty of people get drunk every Friday and Saturday night without getting behind the wheel of a car.

When most people go out drinking they leave the car at home.

@tibbleinparadise,
Who said he's an alcoholic. He got drunk once, that doesn't mean he gets drunk all the time.

@izzythepush,
Having an alcohol problem does not hinge on how often, but rather what happens when one drinks.

I knew a guy who drank once every 5 years. He binged out, wrecked the car when he came home from the casino (lost $5,000) and ran thru the garage into the house.

@izzythepush,
Assuming he is a responsible drunk, which he isn't because he can't keep his pants up, we might have trusted he'd leave the car at home.

Drinking to the point of not remembering what is going on is an indicator of a problem.

@tibbleinparadise,
Again with the assumptions. The OP never said he couldn't remember what happened.

The OP is asking for advice on her partners' infidelity, she's not asking you to put words in her mouth.

@LiesManiac,
We don't know the answers to your many questions.

You need to decide on your own if you trust your boyfriend.

@izzythepush,
Noted, must be getting my "my boyfriend got drunk and cheated on me" posts confused.

I appreciate your diligence in keeping the internet tubes all flowing in the right direction.

@PUNKEY,
Are you saying he's the same guy?

If not it's irrelevant, I know lots of people who don't have any problems when they drink.

The OP is talking about a particular individual, all we know about that individual is what we've been told. Leave it at that.
